WTF???
I just received this in one of my emails. It was feedback sent to my gallery... People are getting pretty rude these days. I mean if they asked politely and told me who it was i would kindly do it, but wtf....

Comment: you should hide the sold section of your gallery since you do not own those cels anymore.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I got one on the 12th:

Comment: Nice layout. Wouldn't hurt to hide the sold section since they
are no longer your cels.
No biggie for me tho, whoever it was is kinda right tho, so I hid the section, no sweat off my back; in the end, do what you want...it's your gallery.
But I'm sure it was just a light-hearted suggestion and I'm sure they didn't mean to come off rude...so just do what you want.

I have bought from many Rubbersluggers and I know that several of my cels are still on their sites. If I am bothered, I'd tell them (which I'm not.) I am annoyed at the bossy attitude of some people. If they are not their cels, it isn't their business. I guess sold cels are technically against rubberslug rules that you have to have posted cels in your possession, but there are lots of graveyards, and forgotten sold cels. If rubberslug wants to dis-allow sold cels, then it is RS that should be telling you that. That person is being rude and doubly so if it is unsigned. I would forward the message to Jason.

I agree.I think you shouldn't be able to send a message without your own address. But that's my opinion.

If they didn't mean to come off as rude, why hide their identity? I try to think the best of people, but not when they tell other people what to do and are too cowardly to say they said it. I'm glad it didn't bother you, because with all the bad things that go on in the world, it is beyond miniscule, but why potentially hurt people's feelings for no other reason than to act like a vigilante on a site you don't own?I'm sure it was just a light-hearted suggestion and I'm sure they didn't mean to come off rude

I would think the "SOLD" would kind of automatically indicate that they're no longer yours, wouldn't it? In common English language usage? I mean... does your poster need a hotlink to a dictionary?
What on earth harm does it do anyone for you to have a picture of stuff you used to own. I don't get it. I keep a folder of the dozen or so cels I've sold just because I like to be able to rememer them. The fact that I don't display them is more a matter of saving space than anything else; I've seen many, many galleries with "my former pretties" or something and find nothing wrong with it at all.
To the rude rubberslug poster,

Yes, Baakay, and thus where a concern may arise.Baakay wrote:I would think the "SOLD" would kind of automatically indicate that they're no longer yours, wouldn't it?
Rubberslug rule #2 (and I quote):" You must have in your possession every cel on your site."
As for the anonymity of the e-mail...
Last I knew, you can't send feedback through Rubberslug without listing a valid e-mail address. My brother tried it once by accident and I never got the feedback.
Which leads me to believe the feedback isn't really anonymous

No, you can leave feedback without giving an email address. A friend and I do it all the time to each others galleries. Of course, we know each other so well that we don't need the email address. We wind up just calling each other at that point. I think the words "jerk" and "@$$" are usually said.4_degree wrote:Last I knew, you can't send feedback through Rubberslug without listing a valid e-mail address.

Other people have left me bad email addresses too. I've attempted replying back to them only to have the email bounced back to me. No sweat off my back.

I'd like to think that sender wasn't intending to be mean but rather full of themselves and bossy. If rubberslug wants to crack down, them rubberslug should write you. This person isn't in charge.
I personally don't like graveyard sections but I've never written anyone to hide their section. It's that site owners choice. Although, I have written individual people asking them politely to remove a cel they sold to me . . . valid email included.

Can you hear this fangirl squee?!
