I think I already posted this somewhere, but I am! Date movie...

Midnight screenings are really fun, especially if the movie in question is something with a lot of anticipation. It's like, when you see it at a midnight screening, it's the last first time ever that movie will be screened to members of the paying public (and don't count promo previews, this is the last first organized mass-distribution release, I'm talking about).
I may be nuts, but i think they're kind of historic in a way---- the whole crafting of a movie has come down to this--- the screening, for the audience---- now begins the cycle to decide weather that movie will become a success or not (however you define success). And anyone who sees it for the first time is a part of that history, a witness to something special in the films process.
The people who made the movie made it for you---- and you can always say, I saw it first.

That said, ppl at the screenings are usually huge movie fans--- the place is kinda like a party and everyone usually cheers at the good scene and claps at the end------ good times.

I'm looking forward to HPGF--- Anyone else going?
Keep on keepin' on Dilandau.

None of my friends will go to the midnight showing. Didn't want to make this a date, but if that is what it will take to get someone to go with me, I guess I'm going to have to do what I have to do *pilgrim*

Um... yeah... so... I'm going on Friday with a bunch of co-workers. At least that's the plan, and plans never go right for Mad Engineers.

Ha, ha, yes!!

I'm going tonight w/ my roommate and one of her friends. It's going to be quite the voyage, believe me. Originally, I didn't want to go b/c of the amount of stuff I have to do this week (still need to start on that 10 page paper . . .) but she seemed so disappointed, so I agreed to go.

Buuut . . .

The theatre by our university isn't playing it tonight. The closest theatre is about five miles away. :l So, we plan on taking the bus down really early, and taking a taxi home. Now I just need to figure out how the buses work around here. I've never ridden a public bus before, and my roommate is even more ignorant, so we'll see how this goes. :emb Hopefully, we'll make it to the theatre.

7 more days to wait over here... and 9 days from now, I'll go watch the movie with a best friend and potter-fan.

Salted popcorn and lemonade await.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?
