This guy held onto millions of dollars worth of stolen paintings. Knew full well the ENTIRE time that they were stolen, in fact they were in his posession BECAUSE they were stolen, and now he wants a 10% finders fee?
I don't get it
Keep in mind that the original owner has spent millions of dollars the last 28 years trying to find these paintings.
Personally I don't find it surprising that this guy's a lawyer

My sister got hit by someone else a few years back. She was ok (just a lil
beaten up) but her car was totaled. The other person's insurance company
refused to settle for what the car was worth, so she ended up getting a
lawyer. The lawyer sent one notarized letter and they ended up settling.
For that amount of work, they took 1/3 of the money plus billed her $50 for
the notarized letter. I think she ended up getting less than if she'd just took
the initial offer before the lawyer got involved.
