Whats your favorite Movie...??

Post by ZombieBunny »

Alrighty since Im just here sitting at home today I am BORED.
I've watched a few movies and this idea just popped into my head.

So what is your favorite movie and why? The one you can watch a million times over?

Horror:
Night of the Living Dead (2nd version) - zombies anyone? :bow2:

Drama:
The Crow (original) - Brandon Lee and that it is just a awesome story. I read and have all the comics too. /kis

Comedy:
The truth about cats and dogs - Ok so its old but I still love it. Cheers me up everytime :nuts

Favorite all time Movie:
Memoirs of a Geisha - I picked up this book about 5-6 years ago and read it I think in two or three days. I was in summer vacation and I just didnt put that book down. I was enthralled. A couple years later I find out it is being made into a film....Then I waited and waited until it came out. It was everything I knew it would be. Absolutely gorgeous and stays true to the book. It was my favorite book and now it is my fav. Movie. :vict

The Crow - The story always gets to me and the movie itself has great atmosphere.

Horror: I really don't like horror, but The Birds still gives me the willies, after all these years. Hard to top Alfred Hitchcock. In very close contention would be the original Night of the Living Dead. Dang that's one creepy thing, low-tech or not.

Drama: Raise the Red Lantern. I probably should find my own copy of this thing, I've watched it so many times.

Action: Hmmm... I don't really HAVE a favorite action movie. I guess if you agree on the categorization then The French Connection would be my favorite. Sure, it's dated... but that car chase is hard to top.

Comedy: tough choice but I think maybe Back to School. Oh and a close runner-up would be Some Like It Hot, which I've probably seen 25 times and still can't tear myself away from if it's on. It's like a magnet.

Favorite movie of all time?

wow... that would be a really tough choice.

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Partly because I adore George Carlin and partly because "Be Excellent to Each Other" is as close to a non-denominational statement of what's important in the New Testament as I've ever heard! :) *

* note: before editing it came really close to saying "non-demonical". Gooood afternoon, Dr. Freud! 8O

What makes movie changes pretty often your favorite?

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

My favorite movie changes pretty often. But I've always been fond of
Disney's Alice in Wonderland. I actually love any and all versions of Alice,
but that's one I watched and rewatched many times.

As for live action movies, I love Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. It's one of
Terry Gilliam's best films and it just... entertains me so much. I'd say his
movie Brazil, but man, that ending... whew.

Nice question! I can never usually settle on just one or two movies.

Horror:
Saw

Drama:
Donnie Darko

Comedy:
Go

Favorite all-time: Alice in Wonderland & Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

I have a pretty wide variety of movies that I like, but I don't usually watch horror. The only ones I like are the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness trilogy.

Favorite Comedy right now is Galaxy Quest. I've seen it way too many times. It works on so many levels, and it makes me happy to watch.

My favorite Drama is probably The Shawshank Redemption. I always say I think that should have won the Oscar instead of Forrest Gump.

My favorite movie of all time is, without question, The Princess Bride. I can quote line for line, I've seen it more times than I can count, and it still makes me giddy like a little girl when I see Inigo confront Count Rugen at the end.

Drama - Casablanca "When it comes to women you're a true democrat"

Sci-Fi - Serenity "I aims to misbehave."

Action - The Last Boy Scout "Just once, I wanna hear you scream." "Play some rap music."

Comedy - Airplane! "Surely you can't be serious." "I am serious, and don't call me Shirley"

Indie - Assault on Precinct 13 "I wanted vanilla twist." BANG!

All Time Fave - Fight Club "I am Jack's smirking revenge"

Horror: Island of Lost Souls (1933): Surrealistically atmospheric and creepy as a nightmare. And who can top Bela Logosi’s speech as The Sayer of the Law; “His is the House of [glow=orange]Pain[/glow]!”

Drama: My Life as a Dog/Mit liv som hund (1985): Hard to pick one in this category, but this heart wrenching and heartwarming film would certainly be one of my favorites.

Action: The Day of The Jackal (1973): Runs like a finely made Swiss watch. Masterfull!

Comedy: The Court Jester (1956): Containing the silliest swashbuckling duel of all time!

All Around Favorite: Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes(1972): Works on all levels, visually, viscerally, and intellectually. Herzog’s Masterpiece!

My favorite can sometimes depend on my mood and a lot of them are rather old, but here goes.

Horror: I enjoy this genre, but really don't have a big favorite, maybe Silent Hill (edit how cold I have forgotten---The Cell)

Action: Definitely my favorite category, hard to choose one - Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Comedy: The Gods must be Crazy (loved both, but part 2 was better) second would be Miracles.

Romance: rarely the type of movie I watch but I did really enjoy While You Were Sleeping.

Fantasy: an oldie would be Lady Hawk (despite the so-so acting), a newer one would be The Lord of the Rings.

Science Fiction: Total Recall

Mystery: The Name of the Rose

Overall Favorite: Gattica

I really don't know. I have been watching so much anime, I forgot there was live-action stuff around! (you mean REAL PEOPLE move around like animated characters?) The only movie I have watched over and over comedy-wise is Raising Arizona. I'd really like to watch some Hitchcock movies all over again, especially North by Northwest and Vertigo. My favorite anime movie is Millennium Actress.
