Japanese cosplayer websites

Post by Keropi »

Does anyone have URLs for Japanese cosplayer photo websites?

I found this webpage with photos here:

http://trainers.air-nifty.com/trainers_station_blog/

I wonder if Kymaera could identify a lot of these characters before reading the captions underneath them. :)

Well..considering I'm functionally illiterate in Japanese, the captions don't
help me much :( But, I can identify quite a few of them. I'm sure you
could do better.

I will take that under consideration.

1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I'm not good at recognizing who cosplayers are portraying and even if I recognize them I often don't remember their name or anime/game they come from. I figured since you've seen so many images and figures you've probably seen all of these somewhere even if you don't recall them exactly. :D

Let's see:

1A. The first group under "2006/03/13" I wasn't sure for about 45 minutes. Then it came to me all of a sudden, but I forgot the anime. I had to look it up. It was "Hoihoi-san". Not sure who the woman in black and white is. Other characters in Hoihoi-san?

1B. Who is that blue haired girl underneath them?

1C. Woman in red is Azumanga Daioh, but I only knew that after seeing the obvious hiragana underneath the photo. :sweatdrop

1D. Not sure who the maids are.

2A. I got a clue she was from Higurashi because her photo is next to the person beneath.

2B. Green haired woman was pretty obvious after watching Higurashi episode 5.

2C. Who is that in the black dress and white dress?

2D. Who is that girl with the red armband?

2E. I thought she was from "Fate/hollow ataraxia" because I've seen so many pictures from it on YJ. But the caption is in English too. :sweatdrop

2F. Who is that in orange and white?

2G. The black and white dress flower girl is what's-her-name from Suika. Suika is one of my favorite anime so it would be pretty bad if I didn't recognize it. 8O

-----------Under "2006/03/03" date about 55 percent down the page:

3A. I know not.

3B. I didn't know who that was until someone mentioned it to me. Then of course it says "SHUFFLE" there. :emb

3C. Black and yellow. I dunno.

3D. Tokimeki Memorial although if she had red hair it would be a slam dunk. :D

3E. Pia Carrot 3 obviously. Pia Carrot 3 had the best waitress costumes of the whole series. The waitress costumes completely tanked in Pia Carrot 4. X|

3F. ARIA obviously. Nothing else looks like ARIA.

3G. I wouldn't have known that one except it says "xxxHOLiC" at the bottom there. Who is she supposed to be? ?^_^?

3H. The blue and white? I don't know.

3I. Higurashi obviously. How can I not know after seeing that bloody cleaver? :evilblk

------------Under the "2006/02/14" date about 78 percent down the page:

4A. Minamo from Wind ~ a breath of Heart

4B. So I guess she's Misao from Battle Programmer Shirase? But I only knew because it says "BPS" underneath the photo.

4C. The To Heart 2 twins. Forgot their names. :sweatdrop

4D. Rozen Maiden. Pretty easy since the character designs stand out so much.

------------Under the "2006/02/02" date abou 89 percent down the page:

5A. In red - I have no idea.

5B. A game I've never heard of.

5C. From translating, the woman in orange and white is from "Scryed". I've never seen Scryed so I had no idea. :shrug

5D. Rin from Fate/stay night.

See? I knew you'd do well because a lot of them were based on games :P

Combat-san...Hoihoi-san's rival.

Yomi from Azumanga.
Keropi wrote: 1D. Not sure who the maids are.
Ci and Mel from Sakura Wars

I guess that memory comes from years of learning all the females' names in harem-type shows. :P :D

I see. Did you see a figure of her?

I'm going to have to watch more of Azumanga Daioh someday.

Hmm...I don't know them at all. :(

I think the hair color threw me off. The cosplayers hair is silver-gray. In my mind Primula's hair is more purplish, but when I checked it out, even in the anime and game her hair was not a STRONG shade of purple. It's only in non-game and non-anime artwork that her hair is so purple. Check out her hair colors:
