EXACTLY how do you say your username?

Post by hyelakingsfan »

just a quick thread before i am gone :P

How do you pronounce your username? Some usernames are difficult to say and many people get it wrong.

So mine is hyelakingsfan (HI-EL-AY-KEENGS-FAN)...some people say (hi-LUH-keengs-fan)

Well since my name is based off that Japanese frog character I guess it would be said as if in Japanese:

keh-roh-pee

lol...that spelling looks funny. LOL :D :hitting:

You can pronounce the R however you want. The Japanese way. The most common American accent way. The English way or the Spanish way. :^^:

Sounds like greeting a hockey fan to me! :cheers I got the L.A. Kings part, but was a little thrown by the “e” after the Hy!

My irm sounds like the word “ear”+ m and
gaard like: to protect, to defend, i.e. guard, :badass although the final “d” sounds more like a “t”.

Some people say the irm like the first part of ermine. /hmm

……now I want to hear from [shadow=orange]RX78GP02AGUNDAM!!!!![/shadow] /?:

Mine's easy enough, but I know it's pronounced differently depending on your accent.
I say it "KRARF-TEA"
But I know the American pronounciation would be "KR-AIRF-TEE".

That sound [unfortunately] reminds me of a homosexual Australian guy who kept trying to chat me up in the pub on multiple occasions. He'd keep whining my name "KR-AIRFFFF-TEE" and it/he was annoying after a short while.

I wouldn't have imagined anyone mispronoucing Baakay until I heard that animated doohickey from a few weeks back say "B. A. A. Kay"

:puzzled

So, it's "baa" as in the sound a sheep makes. Or the sound Kymaera makes when he's calling me "baka"

And Kay, as in... my name. :P

Baka-Kay
baa-kay

Duncecap. :P

You know what - I really have no idea where to begin. :puzzled

I know how to pronounce it, but I'll be stumped trying to explain it. It will drive me nuts :nuts

I will think some more and get back to you all. :D
