I got some internet connection so I am poking my head up at beta
I am in Kyoto and in this evening we went to a Japanese bar at sanjyou dori. And there was a person who is local and he pointed me at the place where Ikedaya was!!!! (if you know Kenshin and Shinsengumi, you know this place ) But sadly Ikedaya is not there anymore but there is a stone saying that there was Ikedaya. Now there is a pachinko place at the same place (it is kinda sad.....). But I thought this was so cool!!!

Hope you are having a great visit! Sorry I missed your update post. I didn't see it until after you left. I love your new kitty cel and I hope you eventually have an ID for the series it is from.

I'm so envious!!!! Someday I hope to visit Kyoto too and visit the castles and shrines especially Mibu village! But Ikeda-ya, yes! Too bad there's only a marker there now. Linky to the marker for others to see...

I am in Detroid on the way to KY right now Finally I am in the US
Anyway I will go back to Kyoto in January and am staying at the same place so I will bring hummer to break some of the rock for ya (I am not sure it is legal but oh well )
