This is downright vile.
It also makes you wonder how Fox approaches other news segments.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

It's funny - the older I get, the more it seems so blatantly obvious that the kind of people like those who work over at Fox News actually are genuinely afraid of things which they don't understand and therefore can only find a certain empty solace in ridiculing them.
But what they'll never be able to realize is that they actually don't understand anything at all... even something as simple as common decency.

I think you hit it right on the head, Lance. It's the fear of the misunderstood. I doubt any of the people who produced that piece even read Breakfast of Champions or Cat's Cradle for fear it might alter their mode of thinking. I wish people would do just the opposite. I read Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly. I read their books for no other reason than to try and understand their position. In some regards, I have agreed with them. But this piece just made me sick. I liked the question at the end. Who do you think will prove to be more relevant in the 21st century: Kurt Vonnegut or Fox News?
