Clone Wars trailer

Post by Keropi »

I thought the Clone Wars animated trailer looked pretty good:

So it won't air on TV for two years? :(

I thought it was coming in 2008? I read that somewhere. I am so glad they are doing this. The cartoon was the best original Star Wars content since the original trilogy. It doesn't hurt that Lucas isn't involved. It's amazing to see that art style in CG animation as well. Very cool. 8)

I saw a poster of this a month or so ago and wasn't that impressed...but gotta admit after seeing the trailer the animation and style looks quite promising.

Did you ever watch the 2-D animated Clone Wars cartoon series on Cartoon Network? It was so good, much better than the Lucas-directed live action prequels. If you didn't watch those episodes, you need to find them (online or where ever). You'd absolutely love them. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, honestly. But the Genndy Tartakovsky produced serial had all of the action, character development and excitement the live movies should've had. If you like Samurai Jack at all, you'd love Clone Wars.

I've only seen the first episode of earlier Clone Wars series. I haven't had cable TV for about thirteen years. I wish I can seen more of it someday.

In the L.A. Times about three days ago it said that the animators of the upcoming Clone Wars animated series didn't want to make the characters faces photorealistic because they didn't want viewers to be distracted by imperfections in the CG like a lot of earlier works.

I've been wondering who wrote the dialog for the first three Star Wars movies because George Lucas has admitted that he isn't good at writing dialog. It's a shame he didn't let someone else write the dialog for the prequel movies. :(
