TI NoteFolio Creator... transfer Text... HELP

I have a TI-83+ and I have one of those older connectors to the computer (black cable) and the one thing I am missing is the CD. I haven't needed to transfer a program to my T1-83 in over 4 years so locating the CD amist my junk is impossible. I found a program titled "TI NoteFolio Creator" basically i need a program that allows me to send text files to my T1-83. This software claims to have that ability and when i transfer it, everything is good... I even have another program to send all the data on the TI-83 back to my computer and the data I just transferred is there.. But the problem is I can't locate the program for the life of me, actually on the calculater.. Does anyone know where it becomes saved into the calculator? I have looked everywhere. Also if you know of a better program to use to transfer text files please let me know.

Wish I could help. Sadly, I haven't used mine since Winter 1995.
Mine was a ti-85 I think. Probably had a different structure now that I think about it. I'm pretty sure there was a programs directory.

Umm... does anything from here (TI-83 Plus - ticalc.org) help?

Thanks for the link, I have tried several programs from this site but all seem to need a certain software installed prior... (which i think is the CD the cord comes with

). Going to try again to find it today.. If I can't ill have to go and buy it..

Well after going through about 20 different programs.. I found one that "half works" and i used a function of another program (that refused to do the first part) in sending it.. because the first program that 'half works" refuses to send.. lol..

But in the end, I got it to work... Thats what counts
