Attn All Cooks: Recipes Wanted

Post by Sugarflower »

Hi everyone. I'm looking for some new recipes to try out.
I'm tired of eating the same old stuff every week for breakfast, lunch,
dinner, and snacks.

Does anyone wish to share a favorite recipe thats healthy and easy to
prepare? I'm not looking for anything that contains artificial ingredients
such as Splenda, Crisco, might contain lots of preservatives, etc. (MSG
gives me migraines :l ) or anything that would contain hard to find
ingredients.

Authentic homemade or traditional dishes would be wonderful but I'm
brave enough to try anything you may have concocted up yourself, lol. I
love trying new dishes from around the world. My husband is Greek so
I've had wonderful authentic food experiences from his mom's cooking.

I'll try to post recipes that I like as soon as I can get to them, they are
stored on my other computer at the moment or are in cookbooks stored in
my storage unit.

For something fancy...

Get at least 5+ sprigs of fresh Rosemary, depending on the amount of potatoes you are using...

Wrap them in cheesecloth. Take as much redskin potatoes you need to make a good-portioned side for you and possibly guests...Wash them, cut out and rots or ugly dents. DO NOT skin them!

Cut them into 1 inch squares. Put in potatoes and rosemary wrapped in cheesecloth in a stock pot with enough water to cover pieces. Boil potatoes. not a heavy boil. Boil until tender. Keep checking em with a fork.

When ready, drain water. Mash em' up. Add enough butter and cream to taste. Salt n pepper optional to taste.

Best tasting mashed taters ever...a hint of rosemary...INCREDIBLE!
