Maybe I went to the wrong school, but I remember feeling distinctly relieved when the dating pool became sooo much more physically attractive in college.

Heck, I can gawk at gay couples any day in any café here in Silver Lake/Los Feliz

but to me those are 1 stop short of a masseuse parlor
and not really a cafe
