Stomach flu?

Post by Shampoo »

Hey guys! :D

Ok I'm starting to get desperate here but I dunno who else to ask
besides my mother :emb

I've been bitten from what I presume is a stomach virus.

Normally its not a big deal but this lil shit has been
pestering me for 2 weeks +

I've had all I can take of chicken broth and saltines.
:bwall :OMG: :wow: :bawl

Any one here have any home remedies????

I dont care how silly it sounds
at this point I'll even try standing on your toes while singing
"bingo was his name-o" if it works!
lol!
:hitting: :rollin

1. Chicken broth and saltines.

:P

*hugs* Sorry you're sick and tired of being sick and tired! :(

Hm... maybe move up to grilled cheese and tomato soup?
Or at least sliced bread with butter and sugar?

Man. I really hope I don't get this thing. :x
Take care! *more hugs*

My only advice would be anything that can settle or balance the stomach. Peppermint. Chamomile tea. Probiotics. Activated Charcoal pills or liquid. Pepto. Bicarbonate. Otherwise, you'll just have to ride this out. Sorry.
Time is but an illusion. Lunch time...doubly so.

I recommend you ingest eye of newt, and toe of frog, wool of bat, and tongue of dog, adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting, lizard's leg, and howlet's wing.

But seriously, I'm sure there's more than one doctor in town. You might need some serious antibiotics to defeat this.

Two weeks is long for a GI condition. Most viral GI conditions are self limiting to only a few days as the GI tract is fairly immune competent. I would probably go to see a physician as there may be something else going on, particularly if you also have any systemic symptoms such as body aches, muscle aches, or fevers.

Same virus is going around here in Mass, but the doc's aren't actually prescribing anything. :( It hasn't hit me yet, but most of my friends have had it. Lots of rest, and more chicken soup! :crazy

Feel better soon! 8)

Sorry, Shampoo, it doesn't sound like you have the stomach flu. :hurt:

If you're doing anything other than just vomiting, you have something else. I've never known a stomach flu virus to last more than 3 days. There are just too many acids, etc. in your stomach for it to live any longer. It sounds more like you have the real flu especially if you have chills, aches, fever, etc. I'd call your doctor, even though he's out of town, and talk to one of the nurses. They can help suggest what your next step could be. (If they're not there, call a 24 hour nurse hotline.) When my doctor couldn't get me in immediately, I was told to go buy a certain over the counter med until I could get in or feel better. Of course in my case, it didn't work. :hurt:

About 2 years ago, I had an illness that acted like the stomach flu but last over a month before I called for help. It turned out that I had stress induced acid reflux. I couldn't hold anything down. I had to take meds for 3 months before it went away. (It was after my double funerals.) I found what worked best, before the meds took effect, was sniffing cinanmon. I was shopping in a home store with a friend when I started feeling really sick. My friend took me right up to one of those cinanmon stick brooms and told me to smell it. It worked. I felt better. :)

I hope you feel better soon! :)

Well...when I had surgery and I felt sick....they gave me a "Xanax" and then gave me 2 to take if I could not sleep (and to take one) It really makes you relax :) ..but then I told my brother, and he says it an anti-depresent (so I'm not sure what that's about -_-)

I suggest:

Baby pedialight When my dog had the flu we gave it to her and she stooped being tummy sick (So I'm sure it will work on adult humans too ^^)

besides that, just buy something that can make you sleep well

Huh. Fascinating. What was the response?

1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
