Any BSG fans out there?

I'm so excited the new season of Battlestar Galactica started tonight. The first episode isn't even over yet and I'm already speechless. I can't believe
Dee killed herself. 8O
I never saw that coming.

And of course,
WTF, Starbuck?!

Though I don't watch it, my husband and two of his friends are glued to it gasping & yelling "nooooo!" in my living room as we speak. Typical Friday night.

Yeah, I actually had an outloud outburst as well. This series just never ceases to amaze me.

I've been a BSG fan since I was 7 years old. I love the original Starbuck. I didn't think I'd like the new Battlestar as much but I was wrong. It's really good in its own way. I'm a big Apollo fan on the new series. :^^:

Without a doubt, one of the best shows on TV. Last season had some incredible acting. Why Olmos didn't get award nominations for his work is beyond me. I cannot wait to see what else they bring us in this last season.

Yeah, very big WTF moments here. My husband and I had a few various theories on things though.

For Kara to come back, there had to have been a resurrection ship near by.
and...
If Ellen is the fifth model, then what does that make Kara?
That scene where Anders played "All Along the Watchtower" sent a chill up my spine.

Man I'm glad you guys are using spoiler tags I'm gonna wait for the box set to come out in the UK before I watch it as I don't have sky and won't pay for it just to watch one show (no matter how much I love it).

Who else think's that Baltar actually kind of makes the show, I'm not saying he's the best actor, but he kind of brings in the main thread of humour even though he's got the heaviest role in many respects. I think he's actually portrayed spot on!

Ah- the new season started already? I didn't know that O_o. I've been following it, it's a good series (except for that whole Starbuck love triangle arc that dragged on for a while, but I'm glad they dropped that now ^^).

I really like the President ^^. She's not always right, but she's a good person and I like her personality and the role she plays. I hope she doesn't... you know... leave the series before it wraps up.

I rolled over that first spoiler tag by accident... Eep! She's another character I really really like... Booo :x . I did not want that to happen at all :( .

No, BH. I've come up with 2 possibilities for
Starbuck. First, she's from an alternate timeline. Second, it's kind of like one of the episodes from the original series where they thought all the pilots were dead but they weren't. They were on this ship of higher beings and everything was white including their uniforms and their vipers.
But I guess we'll find out all the answers in the next few episodes. :)

Possible. We still haven't figured out...
how she got there inthe first place! Her Viper blows up, and then she's back all of the sudden. How did she go from blown up, to Earth? Did you see how terrified Leoben was when he saw the body? My theory is that Kara is a child of Sol and Ellen Tigh, and that Ellen had made it possible for her to be resurreceted in case of her death.

Good theory. :) I came up with one more. It's actually something my brother mentioned to me.
The credits say there are 12 models. But how do we know there really are. There could be more that the human race and the cyclons just didn't know about.
I know it's a bit of a stretch but then again, aren't they all? :P

Did anyone watch the latest ep?

I think Roslin and Adama are seriously cute *^.^*... I had a great big "Awwwwwwwww :) " moment towards the end; it leaves me feeling warm and fuzzy LOL.

Btw, Felix was always one of my favourite characters though he's less often in the spotlight, and the last episode did not disappoint... Wow, what a fantastic character arc XD. I love the way that developed. And the end, his conversation with Gaius... I think that for me was the best scene I've seen in the whole series. I really sympathise with his character. That was bittersweet, challenging, frustrating.. everything that makes that kind of character role great when it's crafted so thoughtfully. What a great ep for those characters.

I'm forming a theory about the ship itself though... I wonder...

I'm glued to the tv every Friday night. Okay! So I'm at work when it's on but I make sure I take a break during the show and quickly get some work done during the commericals.

I never liked Felix but I agree with you. The scene between he and Gaius was great. I wonder where they're going to go next? :?

I know! Felix was one of the characters I liked too and glad they ended it the way they did. The show was getting a little off track last season and happy to see it is picking up in speed and adding real character development besides all the teary, feel sorry for me. Still want to know what is up with Starbuck though.

Heh! Sounds like a great plan ^^. Brighten up your work day with a little sci-fi ^.<
I wonder where they're going to go next?
Hmm... so far it's been a season of trying to tie up a lot of loose ends/people. My number one 'certain' prediction since Saul was on New Caprica is basically that he's going to get his 20/20 vision back somehow, and he'll become a reformed person XD. It's so Biblical lol :D . It would seem even more likely now, in light of recent plot developement. If Adama renames him, I'll fall off my sofa XD

Lol yeah...

And about Starbuck...
Wild theory no. 1)
Her dad was a cylon... she's the original hybrid child lol... and for the cherry on the cake they're all caught in some crazy timeloop, whereby she leads everyone to the end and the new beginning over and over and over (this is a lame theory XD)
Wild theory no. 2)
It's not just "in the fracking ship"... it IS the fracking ship! Mwahaha. The Galacticca itself is really the original ressurection ark for humanity, and *Starbuck* is like the original 'Hybrid' of it or something XD. Which explains why she seems a little nuts sometimes XD. Humanity is trapped in a terrible cycle of existence again.
Lol, in all seriousness I don't care too much what Starbuck is or is not. They've made it obvious for ages now that she's a key cog in the whole explanation of everything.. I just hope whatever the explanation is it isn't too disappointing.

I'm glad others liked the Felix storyline :).
