Hey,
I got an odd question. My co-worker is having a birthday party and I am attending. I asked if he wanted me to bring anything but he said no. I still feel odd going without something. I talk to him frequently but don't really know him personally so can't get anything too personal. Any suggestions or should I just bring nothing? A card? I don't know.

Chipping in sounds great! Let someone who knows him better pick out the item... and if he doesn't like it... Well you can blame it on who picked the present!

Yeah, good thinking. Sadly, it is kind of a secret party. He only invited certain people in the office and so it is hard to find out who is going without accidently tipping someone off.Killua wrote:Check to see if any of your co-workers are getting him anything. It's common to chip in on a gift or something and all sign a card together. If nobody else is doing anything, I'd say a card is always a good idea.

Bring a dessert.
Doesnt have to be cake either, maybe even baking a batch
of chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and bringing
those to the party.
Or if your more inclined
to an actual gift for him...
