Anyone have any childhood toys that you got rid of when you were teens b/c you were "grown up" but youre kicking yourself now for letting them go?
i used to have (seriously) hundreds of my little pony stuff. I had everything from the dolls, to the dollhouses, the accessories, you name it, i had it.
Awwww TT^TT that's like me with Sailor Moon. As a kid I kept everything in awesome condition because I'd handle em carefully then slide em back into the box. But with all the moving we did some would "disappear" others would snap in half from being packed wrong and some were just given to friends to avoid the heartbreak of losing them horribly. Now I wish I had been more adamant about em' as I see some of the stuff I bought with my allowance on clearance for 5$ hitting 200$ marks.
Luckily though I met an awesome friend at my first ever con and became good friends with him and his fiancee, now wife. Years later she no longer wanted her Sailor Moon collection and offered to sell me the whole lot of it (minus artbooks, which I really wanted). 200$ for over 40 items, that was a steal, the crescent moon wand from the sailor moon collection that was in that lot was well over that but she knew I loved Sailor Moon and wanted to get rid of them and see them goto a good home. Since then its been competing with cels for my money lol
I guess mine would be Barbies and my Raggedy Ann and Andy....back in the day....
I kept some of my son's Ghostbuster & Teenage Ninja turtles...but really wish they had not broken the PeeWee Herman doll
The only things I really tossed out were those Garbage Pail Kids cards. I think my old barbies, my little pony, care bears, & cabbage patch kids are tucked away in my mom's attic somewhere.

The 1988 reintroduction Barbie for Midge, California Dream Midge. I was about 15 when I decided to give her to my cousin. I regretted it the moment I saw she had chopped off her long red hair, I about cried.
I eventually came to terms with that but oddly I still miss my Prize Popple.

i was gonna say, i wish i had kept all of my original ponies... but i collect them and have more than made up for the ones i lost. if those auction prices surprised you, then you are in for a shock. there are ponies who go for hundreds of dollars a piece.

I wish I had kept mine as well. My great grandmother kept several of them but when she passed away a few years ago my uncle bought the house and tossed out most of the things she kept from family. Any that survived with my mom was eventually sacrificed by my brother by using them as dog toys. Evil little brother. I still wished I had kept the rest of my Popples and Strawberry Shortcake toys.
On an upside I still have a large collection of Care Bears and Cousins packaged away in my storage closet.
I would have loved to have kept my Shogun Warrior toys. Nice heavy diecast toys with shooting missles, rays and/or limbs. I had some Speed Racer and Micro-men toys. And the best would be the original 12 inch G.I. Joe dolls with the kung-fu grip. Definitely a much more innocent and simpler time.
my brother and I had a G1 Transformers Megatron growing up. When I was about 18 my brother wanted to sell it, so he did. I wish we still had it though. Not because of the value, but because I really liked it and miss having it around. I did keep my Outback transformer. Bro said he wasn't going to get much money for it so I could keep him. lol.
My wife collected my little ponies. she had a collection that was coveted by many in the MLP community. Even though she has not actively collected in years she still gets e-mails from people asking her questions about rare types and such. Ponies have fetched thousands of dollars and have sparked internet flame wars the likes of which the anime cel community has never seen. We are talking baaaaaaaaaaaaad blood when you mess with a woman's pony and it gets ugly.

Along with Lemar, I have fond memories of my kick-ass G.I. Joe doll (back when he was just one guy with a beard, facial scar, knife, and I'll-kill-you-where-you-stand attitude),
I also miss my Stretch Armstrong, all my Matchbox cars and most of all my Six Million Dollar Man with the see-through "bionic" eye and and Transport Repair Station.

oh i feel for ya.
alot of what i sold went to a friend of mine that wasnt so careful with what condition they were in.
Me, i took meticulous care of them and years after i sold them to her i found out she kept them in her shed (with so much dirt and dust on em, your car would be jealous ). *cries*

My M.U.S.C.L.E figures. They were these little pink figures that I collected as a kid. They were based on the anime Kinnikuman. I must have had hundreds of those damn things.
Hard to believe, but someone actually has a website dedicated to these little pink toys.
