It's true when you think about it. People leave this board quite often and don't turn up again. If I were to pass on, what would people assume(some would pop champagne)? It's strange to consider, but absolutely appropriate. Maybe I should put something in my will about alerting my online friends in such a case. My best friend just died a few weeks ago, and I made an effort to contact all of his friends online. It wasn't easy.
A very creepy, yet totally interesting story

Time is but an illusion. Lunch time...doubly so.

Yeah I've often thought about that..
When my sister passed away many years ago I was contacting people through her e-mail. Fortunately she was able to give me her e-mail password three or four weeks before she passed away. But if she hadn't done that I wouldn't have been able to contact anyone she knew online.
From what I could tell, I think it felt more creepy for the receivers of my e-mails. I mean...I was telling them that she had passed away. I think some of them that didn't know her very well might have had thoughts that I might have been the one that was messing around with theirs heads since the very beginning.

The leader of my gaming clan died and it devastated us all. Luckily his wife was also part of the group so we knew when he got sick and when he passed. But all of us being there and offering support and being there to talk to really helped her through it. She always had a place to go to talk to people who loved and respected the man.

A good friend of mine who also played WoW died of a heart attack (he was only 35 and in good shape, bmi wise). The killer part was I has just spoken to him at 3am the night before, as we just happened to be online and really nothing to do. We just farmed Scholomance for the hell of it.
That was the last time I really ever played, and finding out a few days later that, that stupid waste of time in the morning was the last I would ever hear of a human being, it just stays with you. He was good people.
