Uhh... do I need to make a drawing to be clear enough ? :^^:

You're fasten seatbelt, everything damn shakes, and you see through the window that the plane will have to land between hundred of lakes that are slowly approaching.
At the same moment, the TV lights up and "Bean" TV show appears on it...

This is totally unreal, you think about every lake where you may crash, and their unique response is to offer you "Bean" to calm down.
Imagine there's a true problem during landing, your last seen thing in life is "Bean", what for pathetic a funeral XD

So unreal that this become nervously funny.
Got it ?...

I think I see what your driving at with the randomness of Mr Bean being the last thing you see before you make a perilous landing inbetween a bunch of lakes. I don't know how big Mr Bean made it in the states, Not very I should imagine. That may explain why the joke was missed.

Ahhhh Mr Bean. Okay I see where you are coming from.

I was on a plane once and they showed Alive as the inflight movie (Alive is a movie based on a true story about a Rugby team who's plane crashed into a mountain and they survived via cannibalism)

Actually, I am a huge fan of Rowan Atkinson, back from his Black Adder days up through Mr. Bean. I simply didn't understand how your were trying to connect flying and Mr. Bean. I understand now. Still not funny, but I get it. Now the story about watching Alive, THAT is funny. Here are five movies you should never see on a plane trip...

1. Fearless
2. Bounce
3. Alive
4. Final Destination
5. The Reader (has nothing to do with planes, it just sucks)
Time is but an illusion. Lunch time...doubly so.

Well, as thread is evolving, let's switch to "the worst thing you ever saw on a plane trip"...

Flew for the first time ever last year, scared to death.. flipping through channels on the tv and "Mayday" was on Discovery.
Noo... no.. I'm not watching that while we're flying, thanks..

Oh right so Mr Bean did come up on the Radar over there, thinking back a couple of movies where squeezed out of him so he was obviously bigger then I thought.
