Movies inspired by mangas

Hiya guys,

Lately I've been out of touch w/ the latest and greates in
happening in animes and mangas.
As I was perusing sites, I was surprised to see some MORE
Hollywood movies that are being based on mangas. o_O
Particularly the possibility of a live action Afro Samurai
and revisting of Death Note with an American cast.

SOOooo this got me thinking on starting a thread...
what movies/tv shows in the Western world have been
inspired by or directly made from mangas/anime?


I can think of an early example

Lion King --> Kimba the white Lion.

then theres contemporary like
Kill Bill ---> Lone Wolf and Cub (thou only 1 of many animes influences)


So which ones ccan you conjure up ?

The Seven Samurai (Jap) = The Magnificent Seven (US)

is the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

Actually, Seven Samurai had nothing to do with manga or anime.
The anime came out as a 50th anniversary tribute to Akira
Kurosawa's legenday movie. The movie has actually had the
storyline made into several different movies in different countries. ^_^

The most recent one I can think of, of course is Dragonball.
