Michael Jackson RIP

Post by Killua »

According to reports, Michael Jackson died today from a cardiac arrest. He was 50 years old. I never knew if he was guilty of the accusations that surrounded him, but I'm sorry that he passed away so suddenly. He was a musical genius and will not be soon forgotten.

I just heard this too! So sudden. This has been a very sad day for the entertainment industry with both him and farrah fawcett passing. My heart goes out to their families, especially the children.

I have so many childhood memories surrounding his genius and his music. My sister and I were born in the 80's and grew up in the 80's - 90's. My sister was a bigger fan than me. She had a poster of him above her bed that she kissed goodnight...every night. She's on a road trip with her friends right now and she started crying when my mom told her he had died.

I have so many good memories of watching Thriller, Moonwalker and his other music videos with her. Our girl scout troop did the entire Thriller dance at the Girl Scout Sleepover Talent Show (to the distaste of some parents...haha :P ). My sister knows it by heart. I was increadbly lucky to have grown up seeing such a display of artistic genius. He really was the King Of Pop.

My favorite song/music video was Smooth Criminal. I also loved the Speed Demon music video where he turns into the claymation rabbit named Spike. And Thriller is pure amazement. I regrett that I never was able to see him in concert.

It was really weird, about an hour before the reports that he had suffered cardiac arrest and was in the hospital, I was thinking about the deaths of Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcett and I told my mom that someone else famous was going to go because death always comes in three's.

And the last thing that I have to say is...I am breaking out ALL my Michael Jackson albums tonight.

Quite a Shock, I guess you could call him "Superstar"
He did leave his mark on the entertainment world,
[among others...]
Sad for his family,
although I found him quite creepy

I have great childhood memories surrounding both Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson.

I'll never forget watching Charlie's Angels as a child and being happy to see Farrah again when she starred in The Burning Bed. I remember clearly waiting to hear for the reports of her relationship with Lee Majors. RIP

I was a big fan of Michael Jackson when he hit it big in the 80s. He totally deserved the title of the King of Pop. However, in the 90s when he started being accused of molestations and after all the comestic surgeries, I was through with him. I'll always remember his break through successes with Beat It, Thriller, Bad and of course his famous moonwalk. RIP

This is really a shame. I grew up with his music and it's a very large part of my childhood. He was truly the greatest pop artist in history and he will be miss dearly regardless of whatever he has been accused of... RIP Michael

Accused pedophile and child molester Michael Jackson is dead. He also is well known as a great musical talent.

I'm not user why this isn't the the headline on every media venue, in that order.

Only God knew his sin and he has been judged if it was needed.

We could only guess.... we could not know his sins or the sins that may have been committed on/to him...

He was a talented man, let's leave it at that

I know what you mean Startyde, Gary Glitter (who admittadly was convicted) is now deservedly a total pariah. Jackson's prestige however, while aquited of course, doesn't seem to have suffered unduly. And while I agree Kathpatty that we can't know what he did or didn't do, I'll wager if he was only half as famous people would have been much quicker to judge him negatively.

usually i dont say things or get in dissagreements (unless theyre my own :D) but i say that we can only judge the living, not the dead. so what he did or didnt do, its all up to God now.

People also forget that in America, you are innocent until proven guilty. The jury found Michael Jackson innocent. If he was molesting kids his whole life, the truth will eventually come out.

Was very sad to here this. I saw the headline change last night (this morning in UK) from not confirmed to 'MICHAEL JACKSON IS DEAD' and seeing those words are very strange indeed.

Although I am 19 and he was before my time I did grow up on his music, my mum used to make me and my sister listen to him and before long he was all we would listen too. :)

As a young child I thought he was the most amazing man alive, I am shocked and saddened by this news. When I think of Michael I think of my childhood so the memories are and always will remain.

I luckily won a high bid for two tickets for me and my GF to see him at the O2 and it is disappointing I will now never see someone who even when I was 6 I knew was the best entertainer in the world. I'm not even bothered about the money, I can replace money but I won't ever see MJ. Some things are just worth that bit more.

My mum saw him in 1987 and she was down for weeks when the show was over lol.

I had doubts about him when the allegations came out but when it was revealed the accuser admitted to his school teacher he made them accusations up I knew he was 100% innocent. He was very naive though.

There will never be another Michael Jackson
