"Peter Keefe, animation exec, creator and producer, most noted as the creative force behind the 1980s children's animated series Voltron, passed away on May 27 after succumbing to throat cancer.
In the mid-1980's, Keefe created the kids entertainment phenomenon, Voltron, which debut in US syndication in 1984 as Voltron: Defender of the Universe.
Keefe's most recent creation, currently in development, is Z-Force, an animated series that features 12 action heroes based on the ancient Oriental Zodiac."
