Sad day. :l

It's too bad that so many of the old time "anime-in-America" people have passed away lately.

I used to watch Speed Racer all the time. I think it was on a UHF channel out here, but my memories are sketchy. I just remember always watching it on a black and white TV set.

My husband and I were pretty lucky to have met and chatted with Peter at Sakuracon 2009. He was a very nice gentleman, and happy to chat with my husband on all things Speed (he grew up watching Speed Racer as a youngin).

He had an amazing career, and whatever you say about dubs, had a hand in many folks becoming anime fans. He'll be missed.
