Changing banner

Was bored, so figured I'd contribue one. Made it so it would flow with the current forum design.

perhaps a poll in order to decide if the majority of
members want the banner changed???
personally I like the Spirited Away version,
it seems to have more meaning than just some random banner...
.....sorry, just my two-yen.....

Personally I'm happy w/ the current banner choices.
The 2 seem pretty neutral in the realm of anime
not too shoujo or shounen or seinen/josei or moe.
Everyone's tastes here are so vastly different,
it would be difficult to hard code 1 permanent banner
considering the plethora of feels and genres there are
to anime/characters (same goes for accompanying fonts.)
And a logo void of any picture or hint of animation (as in the
hobby not as animated gif) seems pretty bland to me.

I'd rather have a poll 1st to see if folks here even
want it changed.

I think the two current banners Beta has in use are great. (Speaking as a guy, I donâ€˜t mind the TLU imagery at all.

)

However, if they are going to be changed, I would like to see something both relating to anime, and at the same time unique to the board. Perhaps something pointing to the production side of things? Something a visitor could identify as being â€œAnime Beta Japanese Animation Cel/Sketch Collecting Boardâ€

before anything is seriously created, it should be determined if it needs to be changed in the first place.....it would be kinda fun to see the ideas members would come up with, given there is enough interest to have a decent response, not just 2 or 3 choices, but the current banners are something of a safe familiar and respected anchor here, I'm not yet convinced that I am ready to see such a change

But the Banners used to changeâ€¦all the time!

This was no reflection on the quality of them. I donâ€™t think Caroline was dissing her own design when she asked to see something newâ€¦

one only had to wait a month and -- voila, something else would appear!

I donâ€™t remember any polls or contests over their designs.
But I guess the dynamic changes if itâ€™s gonna be forever and everâ€¦.

i was just morbidly curious about changing the banner...

Renewal of an image is part of identification to codes/way/mentality, a new design (in the continuity of previous ones) is often a way to a new start. This thread can be a creativity part of the forum, even banners are not in use

I like the GuyvarIII work table idea anyway

I don't mind leaving Sith's banner (Spirited Away) in the green skin. It's the The Last Unicorn banner in the blue skin that originally brought this topic back up, and I agree that this one does need to change, although I like how it fits in the color scheme.

The changing banners didn't have polls or votes. That was just something fun I did when I was younger.

sorry, I was not aware that the banners changed often since they have
not changed since I joined this forum...I'll just go back into my hidden corner and be quiet

In all honesty, Iâ€™d probably vote to keep the old Spirited Away banner myself. Iâ€™ve never had any issue with it, and since I joined after the time of the changing banners, itâ€™d be kind of weird to me if it changed (I have no issue with the TLU one either, Iâ€™m just less used to it since Iâ€™ve had mine set on green all this time.)

But since I said Iâ€™d contribute something I quickly finished up the idea I was working on. If people actually liked it I could put more time into making it more polished (as well as change the font of the sub line or any of the colors, etc.) But I didnâ€™t want to spend too much time on it if the whole topic went moot.

So heh, hereâ€™s what I came up with so far:
