Cons and community gatherings?

Hey, Beta! I have a suggestion to add yet another forum to our boards. What would you all think of asking Magician to give us a section just for conventions and other community get-togethers? I think we have enough posts on them to warrant a special place all of their own.

Even though I won't be posting in them much because I'm from Europe and won't be able to go to any of those get-togethers...I think it's a wonderful idea!

I don't care too much.

On one hand, I don't think that they are overwhelming the current forums
enough to warrant a seperate one.
On the other, it would get as much traffic or more than some of the other
forums.

I think, though, that if it doesn't get created, it would be nice to decide where
such talk should go. Is it "Anime - General", "People Pages" or "Anything".
I think I've seen it in all three at one time or another.

Actually I voted "Yeah" b/c I always miss out these info and I miss cons events etc.....

SO this would be nice to have these section

I voted yes, too. Though I don't make it to cons and events very often, I might be more inclined if some of my fellow collectors will be there.

I think it is a good idea because currently there is no official spot to talk about cons, it is spread between 'Anything' and 'Anime general' and some people don't read one or both. Plus if you try to post info on both forums to get the word out people will frown upon you and it will get locked.

So with the current system it's like flipping a coin on where to put your announcement.

i think it would be a great idea to add a subsection dealing with Conventions & Gatherings. or at the very least, rename the Anime-General section to specifically include Cons and such.

It would be nice to get a starting point on the off-chance I'll be able to go to a US con in the future.
