Record number of users

Post by Keropi »

I was unable to find our old thread on this. :(

I noticed at the bottom of the Beta main screen it says:

"Most users ever online was 72 on Sun Nov 12, 2006 7:13 am"

How the heck did we have that many people here at the same time? Is that a glich or what? ?^_^?

What kind of robot is the bot?

You, Cloud, you little forum wanderer you. :) See you call all your little bot buddies along and house a bot party at 7 in the morning. And your sly too, because you know not many people will be on during that time to catch you partying it up with all your little bot-friends! 8O 8O

I'm sure that some of them were real. After all, you've got to do something when you're waiting for auctions to end on Sunday morning. :D

If it were just bots and spiders, the number would've been higher a long time ago. I think the majority were actually visitors.

Bots can create accounts here, but they are inactive. They can't log on. If the record shows 72, then at some point we actually had 72 people online. I was quite surprised to see that during the move too!

I know there was some displeasure at the scripted record before where it was scheduled to have everyone log on at the same time to set a new record. This new one was not scheduled or scripted in any way that I saw. This is a pure and honest new record!

Wow!
