Google to the rescue :D

I vote for... FIST OF THE NORTH STAR ! (what a surprise).
Just kidding, I think that a running poll can be fun, and may think that to be fair to all collector as a banner flag this series/film must have cels, sketches and repros.

I'd be honored to make a cooperation on graphics. As you know I'm a design company entrepreneur with the attached load of work but there's no problem to find time on my private schedule for such works. I done it previously with the awards graphics design.

Got the board set on green for years, just switched today and I may say that Caroline art is really nice.

Do you mean a file where the layer with the anime image can easily be swapped out by whoever’s maintaining the banner, or an animated gif with lots of changing anime images all at once??

I actually forgot the other version is TLU; I’ve had it set on the green Spirited Away version this whole time, heh.
no, not animated. i was suggesting a banner that automatically changes monthly.

or if that isn't possible, then just create some options that a mod can easily upload.

In general I personally don’t feel comfortable using images that I didn’t personally scan myself or screen cap myself. I don’t like to modify something that someone else put the effort into scanning etc without permission, even if technically they have no claim to the image as they weren’t the original artists. So I never use stuff that I just find on google to modify and publically repost… Don’t know if I’m just being really uptight about that??

If someone wanted to offer scans from cels in their collection, or from art books they did themselves I’d feel more comfortable working with that type of image.

But I’ll do whatever is popularly requested/agreed on…

A randomised display ? If all the banners have the same size that does not sound too complicated but this require board admin work in the code.

I've yearly inventory scans under progress, that may be a rough basis.
In the other hand see HD scans transmitted is problematic for duplicating risks. 800x600 image source sounds correct for a source to work on banner ? Awarded arts can be a good start no ?

Automatically changing monthly sounds like a matter of programming to me, which I don’t know anything about. I’m only capable of making the art to upload.

Options I could provide would be multiple banners, or one large photoshop file with different anime art on several layers, where all but one is invisible. The mod could just turn a different layer visible each month and re-save it. But then, there isn’t really any reason not to save all the different versions at once, and have multiple banners to start with.

I’d personally be inclined to customize the font to match the vibe of the anime featured though, rather than having one consistent banner with changing images. Which is of course more time consuming, I always do things the hard way <__<

What do you think about a triple artist team ? I think that the Caroline work on Unico (what for a coincidence ;) ) is an excellent basis for picture size. Each one handling the animes where he/she feels the more confortable with.

Yeah, of course. You are good at organizing things Iceman, I’ll leave you in charge. Just let me know how you want me to help, email me any images you’d like me to work with, etc.

Hi, all. Just to say . . . I no longer have the time or the memory to change the banner monthly. I am offering to let someone create a permanent banner, rather than let Magician put up a generic one. :) In other words, it doesn't have to be anime-image-related, but it's perfectly all right if it is. We could have an actual logo. That would be nice.

Ah, okay. I’ll ponder this. Coming up with a decent permanent logo is a lot harder than just making a banner that features an anime that might change (well for me anyway.) If there’s not a rush I might be able to come up with something.

Maybe a couple of people can make options and everyone can vote for which they like best?

It's only related to him in that he is the one who made it.

Requires to be archived in a digital museum.
I'll use it as work basis with deep respect and humility, preserving it's original essence, colors and style.
