i'm think the snowflakes are nice (only because they're temporary tho ^^; )

but it does make the oddest thing happen to the text on the screen... text gets bolded in a wave down the screen in a repeating cycle.. so weird

I'm not shedding a tear for the loss of the popping animated gifs falling all over my screen either.

When intrusive graphics interrupt content, I tend to get fairly irritated. Especially if I have to do a work around to get rid of it. SO! I'm happy camper to have the simple, straight forward, content oriented beta back.

I sat in anticipation, waiting for the snowflakes to start falling. When they didn't, I thought there might be something wrong with my computer. X| It took me a while to realize that they had been removed. :emb
