One thing I like about thos forum is that we have that page where it tells us which threads were created/updated since the last time we logged on. I go there and click on each one I am interested in reading and use Window's tab system so I end up opening up 5 of these pages at a time. 5 of those with freakin snow flakes falling on them ends up freezing my computer and I have to wait for it to catch up so I can view the threads. This is not an issue when there are no snow flakes.

Like I already said in another thread, they are annoying and wish they would be taken off. I know I am not the only one who thinks this. :x

fewer snowflakes would be a nice.

I don't hate the snowflakes, but they are a bit irritating.

Where do you get your ideas?

I'd like an option to turn the snowflakes off in all honesty.

Bah humbug!! :^^:

I think they're nice and Christmassy and considering its Christmas, I'm quite content with them for a few weeks! Seems strange people are having real problems with them...but saying that, I usually only open up 1 or 2 Beta pages at a time.

Gotta say, I'm a huge fan of the snowflakes... if they're giving people trouble, maybe an off option is a good idea, but I can't get enough personally... :^^:

At first I saw them as a pain in the ass but, after awhile they grew on me. Espically when I noticed you can play a "game" with them.

What you do is, dodge the snowflakes with your mouse, I once caught myself just sitting here dodging for 10 minutes.... Its barrels of fun!

Yeah, I will admit they kind of annoy me. No horror stories for me though, just kinda distracting.

I'm using Firefox too -- on a laptop running Windows Vista as well, and the snowflakes don't freeze my machine up either. They do however, cause my browser's horizontal scrollbar to appear anytime a flake goes over the right edge....

It goes without saying. How long have you been using Firefox too -- on a laptop running Windows Vista as well and the snowflakes do not freeze his or her machine up ?

If they didn't mess with the horizontal scrollbar, I'd like them a lot more.
