How often do you visit Anime-Beta?

Based on my comment on "lurkers and drop-ins": I thought it might be useful to do a quick poll to check the numbers I'm getting from the Forum Index.

I've just joined, so I like checking in every day. =) I still have tons of back posts and other members' galleries to look through!

I went with the twice a week option. When I first joined, I was here practically every day. Now, I stop by at least once a week but usually twice a week. However, I only login when I'm going to comment or have a pm. Otherwise, I just lurk as a "visitor".

I'd say:

2003-2007 - every 10-20 minutes
2008 ------- every 13-24 minutes
2009 ------- every 15-30 minutes
early 2010 - every 20-40 minutes
late 2010 -- every 25-90 minutes
Jan 2011 -- every 30-100 minutes
Feb 2011 -- every 35-120 minutes
Mar 2011 -- every 45-200 minutes

It's a result of it being slower and my collecting interest going down. I was also playing too much Civilization 3 this year so I went and destroyed the Play CD.

It's more of a habit that I come here everyday - mostly because I have this set routine where, when I first log on, I check my email first then I come straight to A-B. There have been a few times where I've skipped, and it just felt so weird to be out of sync.

When I have free time I pop in to see what's what, and as it's 3AM in the morning here you can see how much free time I actually have anymore. Even so I seem to pop in every 3-5 days and comment only when I have more time to spare.

I'm here everyday ... mostly because I'm on my computer, working, every day *laughs*. I usually stop by here and a some other forums a few times a day as a diversion from whatever I'm working on

Same here. It is part of my "check to see the internet is still running" routine.

I should have stated this earlier, but usually when I check in here I'm not logged in. Usually I only login 1-3 times a day to see if there are any posts in the Speakeasy, to post a message, reply to a PM or because the number "new" posts spills off the front of the portal page. Lately though it's been busier than usual here so I've logged in more times than usual.

Sometimes I don't login all day or for 2-3 days, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I haven't been here.

A demographic trawl through the "Anything" Forum (itself an endless invitation to digressions and distractions) turned up this interesting parallel thread from 2005: â€œHow often do you visit Anime-Beta?

Heh. Looks like I should have designed the poll to start with

* I'm checking AB constantly 24/7in an infinite loop,
* More than 50 times a day. I also have to watch my auctions .
* 25-49 times a day. Facebook is getting to be a real distraction.
* 12-24 times a day. But I read all the posts and make comments.
* 5-11 times a day. I had to cut back because my boss is irritated.
* 3-4 times a day. That's because my computer's in the shop.
* Sniff. Life intrudes in a major way! Just once or twice a day. Forgive me!
etc. etc.
