It was strange....

.....in that I logged onto Beta like every other time I do and began
looking at the new posts and what not. It was peaceful like always
when out of the blue, my norton firewall brings up an Intursion Detection
warning. It then blocked anime-beta.net for 1/2 an hour. Stating that
an intrusion was detected in the form of a "MSSQL_Null_Packet_DoS",
whatever that is. I wasnt really concerned since it came as a low-risk,
but still wondered what it could have been since it never happened
before.....or if it is something of importance....I dont know....

I wasn't able to access Beta this afternoon for about a half hour. I wonder if this is related to what you're talking about?

Fortunately it didn't last for very long.

I have that happen every once in a while and it only last's
for a very short time too. This though, was the first time that
my firewall blocked me from accessing beta b/c something
was trying to access my computer from it that the firewall
saw as a risk, thus blocking me from beta for 1/2 an hour.

maybe someone tried to pull a dos attack on the people who host anime beta? causing it to go down for 30 minutes, and thats why u got that error. it is possible but i could be wrong but that error looks like it lol

I've never had my firewall block out Beta, but I had the same thing happen yesterday afternoon as Keropi, where Beta was just "gone" for about half an hour.
