Spoiler Button?

I was wondering; I frequently visited a Dutch DVD forum ( www.dvd.nl/forum/ ) that had the same layout as this one.
They had a Spoiler Button; just like the Bold, Italic, Url buttons we have here at Beta.

This button made the text placed in between invisible until you actually clicked it.

Would something like that be possible for the Beta forum?
I know it would come in handy, especially at the series discussion boards.

I visit another board that has a feature that blocks text until it is highlited if that is an easier option.

Yes, impossible. Morbid curiosity cannot be overcome. It's like sniffing milk that you know has gone sour -- even though you KNOW, you still gotta sniff it!

I still can't understand why people drink the spoiled milk, spit it out and then want you to taste it : " does this taste funny ?"

Although I think it would be great to have a spoiler button of some kind, I don't think I can stop from clicking the button for spoilers. What can I say? I'm spoiled!

My Dutch is a bit rusty

so I can't see what that dvd forum has, but I did find code for a spoiler hack that sounds like what you are describing. I will add it in this week and we can see if it fits the request.

They also use those spoiler tags over at the AnimeSuki Forum:

Being able to add text at the top of the spoiler helps too. That way you could add text to describe the spoiler so someone could know how much of a spoiler it is before they click the spoiler button like this:

spoilers for episode 8

Well after trying several hacks that mostly sucked, I found a forum where the admin had customized his own spoiler hack and he was kind enough to share the code with me. I finally have it in place here. Spoiler text looks like this:

Spare the rod and spoil the forum bot

Move the mouse over the box to read the text.

I added a button for it . Click the button (or hit alt-r) type your spoiler text,. then hit the button again (or hit alt-r again)
