Never bought on Mandarake before, please help
Hi everyone,
Was hoping someone could help me. A couple hours ago I won my first Mandarake auction. I've got an e-mail telling me I placed the winning bid and it's asking me to complete payment.
The item is in 'My Page' under Payment so it seems I can pay. But do I have to wait for an invoice as the price is just my winning bid and not shipping to the UK.
So do I need to wait for an additional email?
Thanks!

Hi,
I have bought from Mandarake not too long ago as well and if I remember correctly you have to wait for another mail. Actually I think I got an e-mail, which told me to wait for that mail and that it should arrive within 3 days. Then you can choose your shipping options (insurance etc.) as well.
I hope this helps.

You fill out the form with Address and method of shipping and they price out the shipping method you chose to your address and then you will get an e-mail with a link which you follow to send payment.
I usually wait to check out right after winning an auction if I am looking to win multiple auctions from the same Mandarake store within the same store and week. If you are a good customer (hangs head in shame, spent entirely too much money with them last year...) They don't mind overly much and saving on shipping is nice ^_^

Thanks guys!
Any idea how long you have to pay from winning? I wish I could pay straight off.
There isn't an option on my page for shipping options just name, address, email and phone number.
But I guess I'll have to wait a few days for my invoice.

I think it's five days from the day you get your payment e-mail sometimes you can push it out a little farther but you should pay stuff on time in the beginning so you can establish yourself as a reliable customer.

Don't mind sharing at all. I won this one:
http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/auction/it ... dex=325405
The background really makes the shot! I love that it's a Namek background. May be matching have to check. A1END and it's literally right before Goku starts making the spirit bomb.
Wanted a cel of the Goku/Frieza fight and not much fading on it either.

After you win an item, they send you an email explaining that you have to wait three days for the actual invoice, since they need to check and make sure the item is still in stock. The items are also for sale at the stores in Japan, so they need to make sure nobody else bought it there before you end up paying for it.

Thanks everyone, I've got the e-mail saying they'll calculate shipping and invoice me within 3 days. Hopefully it hasn't sold in their store.

I'm not sure if you've ever visited Mandarake, but the auction items are displayed in cases outside the store. Unless you win the item, you can't purchase it at the store. Once the auction ends, the items are removed, set aside, and new items are added. There's very little chance that your auction item was sold to someone else.

Ah that's cool! So they're just displayed to say to people that walk past the shop "this is what we have in our online auction, bid now" sort of thing. I need to go to Japan some day!

Then they must mean something else when they say checking the stock, I guess. That's just what I figured they meant by it.
If you're ever lucky enough to go to Japan, S-D, you really should check out Nakano Broadway in Tokyo! That's the mall that has a bunch of mandarake stores and a ton of other great anime stores! I went there twice when I went to Japan and bought so much there! I got to go to Commit before it had closed for a while and got some great cels. I liked Nakano a lot better than Akihabara.
