Craziness!

O...M...G! I so wanted to win this auction but could only place a bid for a little over $100 since we are about to go on vacation. I placed it last night but it was a futile attempt.

I saved the auction to see how high it would reach and am very shocked to see its ending price. This is just way to crazy! I'd never spend that much for a set of settei.

Sorry you lost out on the auction, Sugar.

Hopefully another set will come along that you can bid on and win.

I wonder why that did go so high though... They are copies, right? (They look like copies to me..) Is Dragon Quest settei extremely rare?

Aww, thanks kittens.

I'm really not sure why the price went so high. I know artwork from this series is fairly rare and any cels I've seen sold in the past on Mandarake have always seemed to sell for outrageous prices in the end, even the not so nice cels.

EDIT: Thanks also Vampy. I would probably have better luck if anything popped up on YJ. I seem to get a better deal when I find cels on there than I do with Mandarake.

Holy Cow! Definitely wait for a cheaper set to come around!

Hopefully a nice set will come up for you on YJ long after your vacation so you've got money to spend on it.

It sucks that you lost this auction sugarflower, but that's WAY too expensive for a(possibly copied) settei set. I agree, a much cheaper settei for DQ will come around again.
