Mandrake bidding question

Post by safetygirl »

There's some auctions coming up next week on Mandrake and I have a question - do they have auto-extend for last-minute bidding like yahoo? I was just wondering as I was figuring out my bidding. :D Thanks!

Yes, if you bid approximately 10 minutes before the item ends, there is an auto-extend. I believe there is a cap on the number of times the auto-extend can be activated, but I don't recall how many.

I believe that the auto-extends can go on for a full two hours. :x

Oh really? You are probably right. I've never had it go for very long, mainly because my interests are not that popular.

Isn't auto-extend eeeeeevil? :bawl

Oh, I've seen some bad auto-extend battles over doujinshi... :hurt:

But thank you though... it's good to know. But auto-extends are so hard when you're trying to get out for work or already -at- work.... hehehehe. I'll give it a try though! :D

:crackup The evilest. I've seen people wait until the last second and then raise the bid by 100 yen... over and over for the entire two hours. Then, in the final second of the final hour, they throw in a huge bid that is almost certain to win. Now that's perseverance. Or lunacy. Or incredible dedication. Not sure which!

Good luck, safetygirl! Maybe the cel gods will smile on you, and there will be no auto-extends at all. :)
