...and that is not the best shot....yes the boy get majestic, but it's not even from an important scene, it just when everyone is beating the bad people's buts...it's wierd...

The old story: underbidders lose -- and win. They lose the chance to own the cels they bid on. But, they get to keep all their money, while the winning bidder eats the final high bid price. And they have the honor of determining, almost to the penny (or 10 yen) what the cel is actually worth.

As Judd Frye (in Oklahoma) understood well, the price of something worth winning is the underbidder's final offer, plus "two bits."

Ah shore hope Judd is gonna take real good care of that there DBZ cel. It's perdy, but too high for this piker.

Over $1700 for that shot seems ridiculously high. Wll at least to me, someone hasn't just bid that amount. It's been said it takes two bidder's to take the price that high. Maybe someone has it as a wishlist but regardless two people REALLY wanted it.

Yea I was a bit surprised when I saw the ending price for that cel then remembered that with mandarake, sometimes even the most generic production art sell for extreme prices. When I see cels like this end at these kind of prices, I wish I could sell some of mine on mandarake

It was actually a good shot. And that scene is really mythic :
Gohan, the son of Freezer's mythic enemy, has grown since his last encounter with Freezer, and Freezer is surprised to see him. Freezer in this movie is the only "Big Bad" to fight without talking about Janemba.

That fist is the only one Gohan gives to kill him, and I saw the scene again and again, this is one of the best cels of the sequence. But the background was not matching :-/

Anyway, I was in course with 2 others guys actually, not only one..
