how to pay for Zenbu purchase on Mandarake with debit card..

Post by theultimatebrucelee »

I was able to pick up a cheap cel that nobody else wanted and when I made the order, they sent me a email saying "thanks for your ordering" and showed me the grand total. for some reason the shipping is 0 yen, is that a mistake?

also, well since I choose to pay with a debit card, and they didn't mention anything about withdrawing any money from my account, what should I do to pay them(isn't it usually they charge me from my account, or will they just charge me later)? ..first zenbu for me hehe..

They will send you another e-mail later with a grand total with shipping included (probably in less than 24 hours after the email you have received). That e-mail will also give you the details to place the payment.

As for accepting debit cards, in the past for sure they wouldn't have accepted it. But they may accept them now. Your best bet here is to pay using paypal, that way you can choose whatever you want to pay.

If you have already chosen a payment method and when you try to pay it doesn't accept it you ccan always e-mail them asking for an alternate method.

Several people have paid with debit cards through the Mandarake system for years. I don't think that you'll have a problem paying with debit cards.

I don't think you can use Paypal to pay Mandarake. Years ago Paypal decided that since Mandarake sells sexually explicit material they will no longer deal with them.

I've used my visa debit card many times to pay them with no problems. 8)

eh, I have been paying with paypal on all the none auction stuff they sell and never tried debit card before, but paying for more expensive items I think paypal is not up for the task, exchange rate plus paypal fee is just too much sometimes(not that they charge extra for paypal besides handling fee)..

well hopefully everything goes well and mandrake won't have a problem with my bank. :) zenbu is pretty cool and I have high hopes for it in the future(dream cels) :D

They used to not take Paypal because Paypal would not pay for adult items and Mandarake had no intention of stopping those sales. I am not sure, but I think they have since worked something out and take Paypal again.

I also think they still have a policy of not accepting debit cards. I still use a debit card though. I think it's because I had it registered with them before they changed their policy and stopped taking them. They have never contacted me to change it to a regular credit card, and I have been using it all along.

So Mandy takes paypal now? Well don't that beat all! I haven't been offered the option to pay with paypal in years. :? But if they charge more to cover the fees it's just as well. Especially with the lousy exchange rate.

At my side, never bought porn, so no idea about an existing Paypal rejection.
About expensive items, once you have the order e-mail send them an e-mail back and ask for bank transfert with the invoice number. On high amounts they may accept bank transfert and will send you back their SWIFT code and BANK account ;)

Aparently paypal has (or used to have) a policy of not accepting sellers that deal with adult items.

Mandarake deals with such items, so for a long time they were banned from paypal. Don't know if the policy changed or they arrived to some kind of agreement for non-adult items, but they have been accepting paypal again at least from 1 year ago.

Personally i still prefer paypal over bank transfer. On paypal the fees are for the seller, on a bank transfer i'm the one that has to pay them (at least where i live).

Note that they don't charge you any extra fee for using paypal like it has been sugested in some posts.

they charge a flat 500yen service/handling fee before(they might have done that for debit card users as well, not sure since I only used paypal), tho last time I got a figurine from their shop(about a week ago) they didn't charge it for some reason, so not sure if they still do now.

eitherway, I ended up paying with debit card and everything went pretty well for as far as I can tell and the exchange rate seems to be better than paypal's, then I got a email saying the cel is on its way.

i use my debit card with mandarake. the only reason i think i can is because it's a debit/credit card combined. that would be my only guess.

yes, they do take paypal. you have to pay in yen when you use paypal though.

normally after you get the comfirmation email, you'll go to the payment page and add your item to your cart. then you let them know which method you'll pay. then shortly after you've sent that to mandarake, they send you the confirmation of how much you owe plus shipping.

i used paypal a few months ago to make payment to mandarake, with no problems whatsoever. my bank nor did paypal didnt charge me any additional fees for sending payment in yen as they require-- i guess b/c i paid using the bank acct itself over a debit card.

they posted payment immediately and it came out within 1-2 business days. i'll definitely be using that option more often 8)

If the country ratified the global protocol (European Union, USA and most of Northen hemisphere countries), you have 3 terms for bank payment in the operation constitution :
ALL for buyer handling all costs, generally $30.
SPLIT for splitted costs, generally $15.
And there is a third term (I forgot), and the supplier handle all the costs.

That is also useful if you overpass your 30 days maximum payment amount authorised by your card (depending if it is regular, gold, platinum and so on) because Paypal is using the same maximum amount authorised by your VISA or MASTERCARD card. I recently had some dentist payment, close to a BWA, so I was not able to pay by card and applied this method to pay Mandarake in time.
