FYI: Not Matching Background on HxH Item

For what it's worth, I'm positive the bg on this item is not the original matching:

Certainly looks like it's from HxH, but not that scene. I just looked it up to check. Don't know if anyone from here is bidding on it, but judging by the price so far on it, I think a few people think it's matching.

Well it ended a bit higher than I expected and I know a little bit about HxH pricing.

It may have ended higher than a typical Hunter X Hunter cel, but I am still very pleased with it. It has been a slow couple of years so I have a bit saved up for overbidding on stuff I really want. What can I say, I just loved the look on Leorio's face while he was only wearing his tie and button.

Strangely enough, I recognized where the background came from before I could identify the cel. The background comes from episode 23 when Gon is hunting Hisoka for his badge. The design and colors for those trees really stood out in my memory so it was instant recognition. I am glad that Killua let people know that the cel and background were not matching though. It would have been questionable if I pointed that out while I was one of the people bidding on it.

Congrats on the win! Like I said, I thought that the bg itself was from HxH. It's awesome that you know where exactly it's from. Let me know if you're able to match it up with a cel from its scene in the future.
