Wow, that's just a bizarre amount of money to pay for what looks like a mediocre cel. It's pretty outrageous how high bidding can go when there's two determined bidders at the same place at the same time. Is that cel even from an important scene?

This one seems to have gone for a large sum of money as well, but it's definitely from a noteworthy scene at least.

Uhh ? What is exactly noteworthy in a picture of a guy holding a little girl in hands ? Youth kid fetish buyer reasons ? I have strong issue to admit such price for a 15,000 JPY cel

I agree with that cel still being horribly overpriced, but if I remember correctly (it's been a few years since I last watched InuYasha) it is an important scene from the series, in which InuYasha's brother Sesshomaru saves a girl called Rin who was mortally wounded by wolves, by using his life-giving sword Tenseiga. Rin then tags along with Sesshomaru from that moment onward, becoming part of the main cast. Her introduction also serves to show a more compassionate side to sesshomaru who, up until that point, seemed to be driven only by his ambition of becoming a ruler and had never considered humans to be of any value. The cel therefore seems to be of the very scene where Sesshomaru's caring side first manifests itself.

That being said, i still was not interested in that cel even at the starting price, so I got this Kikyo cel instead:
