BWA - Anyone Going for Anything?

Anyone going for anything? I just ran through the animation section and wow! That Ranma OP cel is GORGEOUS! I am guessing that thing will go for at least $4,000 if not more. Have some gorgeous Spice and Wolf gengas from the OP. Anyone going for anything?

It's Lent, so I'm on the sidelines munching popcorn. Some of the Miyazaki cels are spectacular (and pricy!)

Although the CLAMP shikishi and several cels interest me, they are all far beyond my current affordability. I've definitely bookmarked several items I will watch with great interest.

I have to agree with you about the Ranma OP cel. There's only one better OP cel that could ever come up and that's the full cast picture. I signed up just to bid on this cel. However, it passed my limit of 200,000 yen already. Sigh! It's going to take some deep pockets to get that one!

I wanted to bid on the Kiki cel but the starting price is way out of my price range!

Even though I am not a Ranma collector, I must say, that OP cel is to die for! It is so gorgeous that I almost bid myself!

I am going to be a real stick in the mud; for me, the BWA is a perfect example of what is termed a 'Jacked' market - that is, by it's very nature, the prices of Goods are inflated & exaggerated to such an extent that overall value is non-existent. I try to avoid those types of scenarios whenever I can.
Although this time around there are quite a few nice cels, especially on the Yamato (AKA Starblazers) & Evangelion fronts, I may actually be tempted by sone of the Eva.OP cels.

I'm sure the hubby would LOVE to bid on some of the really nice Yamato (and Macross) stuff up this time around, but even the starting prices are just totally ridiculous. We'll likely be sitting this one out.

I really love several of the Ghibli/Miyazaki ones,
but, as the common theme seems to be in this
thread, the prices are just way out of control

I'll just sit back and watch.....

Yeah, that Whisper of the Heart cel would be great if I had a lot of money to spare and had more motivation, but no...I'm not going to bidding on anything either.

The best things to go after in BWAs are the items that fall under the radar. I was able to get that Kakyuusei commercial cel for cheap because it's not a popular series to collect from.
