I just got back to the States from an amazing vacation to Guatemala. The trouble is I fell completely in love with a Dutch man and have decided that moving to Holland in the near future will take precedence over collecting. I definitely need to use my head a bit first and make sure everything is good before I decide to move!

Joost: Dude! I totally need to learn Dutch now. I have heard emigrating and getting a work visa is very difficult, not to mention getting a job only knowing English XD

How about visiting Holland first? That way, you can see if you could live in the country and perhaps get a better idea of what living with this guy might be like?

After Christmas, flights are pretty cheap to Europe until about April. Winter might be a good time to visit - that way, you'll get to see what winter there is like.

If you're planning in visiting Holland for 90 days or less, you can do so without a visa.

You guys are so sweet! I was totally thinking of visiting before April for maybe two weeks

I'll fly into Amsterdam so the weather should permit me to land ok, right? I think checking out the non-love bubble/vacation version of this guy will be the safest way to go as well. Otherwise, we'll just be Skyping and I've never done that. I'm not sure whether you can really know all of a person by Skyping them! I doubt it.

Hello everyone!

Thank you so much for your support and kind words. Everything is going better than amazing with my Dutch guy

We are doing the long-distance thing and visiting each other a bit. We'll see where it goes!
