Drat, you figured out my master plan.  If I can just annoy the heck out of everyone on the east coast... um... well, something will probably happen, but I don't know what. Not much of a master plan, in retrospect.

Checking on last week's goodies, they seem to still be sitting on their proverbial butts down at SeaTac. And of course there's nobody to call and hassle on a Sunday night, so I'll phone the PO in the AM and ask. For right now, I'm crawling off to bed, with great relief. It was indeed an excellent convention, but I am now seriously wiped out! Sooooooo tired...

I'm glad you had a great time at SakuraCon! Sunday nights are definitely the time to collapse in exhaustion.

Don't worry easterners, mine hasn't arrived either, so it's not just you.

Hi, all!

Just wanted to let you know that I chatted with a supervisor at the PO this afternoon, and he/she (not sure if it's a low-voiced woman or a highish-voiced man) is going to look into the status of my shipment. He/she apparently didn't feel like hazarding a guess as to what's up, but did say I'd get a callback in the morning.

It was nice to talk to a human, albeit an ambiguously gendered one.

Yep, yours is in the same batch. :) I shipped every package that was paid for and wasn't specifically waiting for another series to be listed, so if you're paid up and didn't ask me to hold it, the package is en route!

I'll assume I'm in that lot as well :)

As much as I would like to groan about our postal service, I have to say it's better than some parts of the world. I heard that you have to bribe the post office manager to get your packages in some countries...

Then the entire set of east coast collectors will rise up in rebellion, and in the confusion, you'll slip someone a pretzel and take over the government. :D

Sorry, that's the extent of my creativity this morning, so you're on your own from there.

Pardon the overabundance of dancing produce, but I just got a call from the PO, and I can finally put my ulcer back on the shelf (for a while, at least). My packages are all accounted for. The alleged supervisor says that they were probably pulled for a random security check (despite the fact that two or three days ago, he/she said that wasn't possible, since it wouldn't have derailed 'em for more than 24 hours); frankly, I think they just like giving people stress, or stuck the damn things on the wrong truck, or something... but until the packages are all safe and sound at their new homes, the last thing I'm going to do is start a fuss with the postal overlords. :P

After that, though, there will be a mightily irate letter.

Anyway, he/she says they're in the system and heading down to the airport routing station, so all is well. If anybody's looking for me, I'm going to be over here in the bar, drinking like a fish. :sweatdrop

I can imagine that if they ALL got pulled at the same time by the same person, it might have taken a while to get through all of them (if that's what they were doing). But, I really don't like the sound of that. I hate the PO people who need to go through our stuff.

I'm all for security but, damn. It's not even going in/out of the country.

I keep telling you to use your real name instead of "evilminion" on the return address when you send packages. For some reason, that handle throws up red flags :P

Ahhhhh, Kymaera, once again I have to wonder why I let you live. ;) ;)

On the other hand, maybe if I DID use "evilminion" as my return address, I might get a wee bit more respect from the evil PO... hmmmmmm...

Because you hate Baakay and klet and know that I torment them far more than I do you.
