I was so worried that the general reaction would be, "What the heck are YOU doing here, after all this time," or worse yet, "Cindy... hmm... Cindy...... I THINK I remember her... maybe..." It's a huge relief to know that the people I've been missing were missing me, too.
I've been keeping up with the news third-hand (Baakay, I'm so incredibly proud of you, both for your graduation and for the "bird in the hand" decision that led to it
), but I know I've missed so very much, and I'm really looking forward to catching up.
I didn't get a chance to list any new series last night, since I had to work late (we're trying to ship a game right now, so everything is busy-busy!), but I plan to get a few more online tonight. To answer the three most commonly asked questions so far -- heehee! -- yes, I'll be putting almost all of my Fruits Basket sketches up for adoption; yes, I'll also be parting with all but three of my Trigun cels; yes, I'm certainly happy to accept payment plans, for up to six months out if you're buying a large amount of cel-shaped goodness. This isn't an emergency sale; I just really want the cels and sketches I've treasured to have the best possible new homes, so if there's something you think you'd really love but can't get immediately, that's absolutely not a problem.
It's all about the art.
To answer the other most-asked question, nope, I'm never, ever, ever selling Kurz-kun.
As I said to Baylor this morning, my yardstick in the decision process so far has been "Even if I go
completely blind in the next few years, will I remember every single line, every shade, every detail of this cel or sketch, and love it every bit as much?" And for Kurz, the answer is ooooooooohhhhhhhh yes. That confident smirk will be with me forever, heehee!
Again, though, I just can't say how incredibly relieved and happy I am that there's still a spot here for me at the party. Wheee!
