Re: Buying art for an Anime exhibition in Paris (France)
Thank you and honored. Project lifetime is up to 20 years, so deserve frames able to travel and to last that long. Further maintenance work in some years would be replacement of all frames backboards by Microchamber anti-pollutant sheets. There are ways to save money on framing, like not using non reflective glass whom are 3 times more expensive, prefer plexiglass to glass, use thiner glasses, thiner mattes, frame yourself the art by buying all elements on the internet. That may help you to reach easily $50 for a standard sized cel, fitting museum standards.
I'm now looking for a special blue plastic wrap that I recently saw in a gallery, this plastic is foldable to fit all forms and reusable, you circle with it the wood frame and your art can travel safely.
If I didn't find this material supplier or if it is to expensive per frame, I'll then use classic carton corners and bubblewrap.
