Is there still any interest in Trigun cels?

Post by evilminion »

In my quest to further cull my collection, I'm thinking of selling roughly half of my Trigun cels. However, I'm not sure there's still any market for them. Does anyone here still collect, or know of anyone who still collects?

If there's actually some interest, I'll post a few to the 'Bay.

Ohh yes! There is a market for sure! :D
It´s just that Trigun cels are so scare lately and Trigun collectors are just sitting around depressed waiting for new stuff to pop up ^^

Oh why bother with that silly ebay place....I'm sure there's a few of us here at Beta willing to take some of those pesky cels off your hands... :drool

Okay, I suppose I need to clarify, given the rather panicky email I just got... :D

Is there a market for anything which ISN'T my dying Wolfwood cel? 'Cause he was a prezzie, and he stays forever. :) :) :)

We would expect nothing less of you, Perv-chan! 8)

All righty, between email and post, I'd say there are at least a few folks still interested in the series. (Glad to hear it! Hate to think that people had moved on to new stuff and just left poor ol' Vash behind, heh.)

Expect to see 5-6 of my Trigun cels on the 'Bay over the next few weeks. (Starting with the bondage bishie.) And thanks so much for responding!

Gung Ho Guns for sure. That would be the last cels I need before i end my collecting from the series. Well, there are a few I would like besides those characters, but odds are not in my favor. Still better than playing the lottery.

Well, that was a silly question... I recommend selling Vash with his hair down. :dwink

Granted, I really shouldn't be spending as much as I have been at the moment, as I'm this|close to having one of those covetted Wolfwood's in my hands too. Darn you woman for selling now. :P

Evil means never having to say, "Awwwww, did you already purchase too many cels this month? I'm SORRY..." :evilblk

Anyway, I am indeed contemplating whether I really need nekkid Vash, but it's a moot point for the moment. He's been on display at the Lake County Discovery Museum in Illinois for the last few months, and he's not home yet. :) Just a wanderin' man, such a wanderin' man... *singing*

Hmm, I may have to convert to evil-dom if it means getting out of saying phrases like that - it would be especially convenient at work. :wack

So Vash's been getting around, eh? How nice for him.

Well, nekkid Vash is home from his journey, and on removing him from the package, I realized that my decision had been made for me by fate. Entropy, the usual debilitating effect of reddish-hued paint on xerographic lines, and probably a few flashbulbs at the museum have taken their toll... he'll give any Sailor Moon cel a run for its money in the line-fading department.

I'm going to beg to have him re-inked by a friend who does lovely fancels, but of course he's now unsalable, so I guess he'll be staying with me forever and ever. *pets him fondly* I was leaning towards "keep" anyway, so this seems like cosmic validation. :D

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Aww that's terrible! This is a museum, yes? They didn't have him in protective glass or anything?

Poor Vash!

The thing is, I can't really blame the museum; they had several of my cels, and everything else returned in pristine condition: Vash is the only one who faded. He was already a little bit along that path when he left, and that was from living in a binder without a speck of light. I suspect they took every precaution, but he was just bound and determined to fade.

So of course I'm bummed, but I'm certainly not going to blame anyone. :)

:P And why would you think he's unsalable?
(well, right now anyway, I'm busy wheedling money to get Mr. Bondage Bishie :dlook )
I love your naked bish section!

'Cause I paid premium for him when I first got him...

/?: chibi ninja #1: "Why would the 'minion do a thing like that?"
/gg chibi ninja #2: "'Cause he's naked. Duh."

...and there's no way anyone would want to pay the same amount now that he's all fade-y. Hence my conclusion that he's gonna be staying with me. :)

(Many thank-yous for the compliment, by the way! The nekkid bish section is definitely my most... specialized gallery. Heehee!)
