Cels for Sale!! Utena, FY, AnC, Escaflowne, X/1999, etc.
We have been out of the cel market for a few years now and are ready to sell off some cels. We hope somebody else will enjoy them as much as we did. All cels at http://groupiecels.weebly.com/index.html are for sale. If you feel a price is unfair we are open to offers, but please be reasonable and respectful. Shipping is based on the weight and number of cels. Please feel free to email me at duelistnanami@yahoo.com for larger images or questions. Thanks a lot for checking them out.

New Cels and Lowered Prices!
We have updated with 5 or so more cels too that missed being scanned due to being oversized. Prices on many cels have also been lowered. Thanks for the awesome response so far!

BEWARE OF THIS SELLER!
There are two people selling cels on this page and it is NOT on a first come first serve basis. If you want a cel someone else already has on hold then feel free to send in a offer because the without a doubt skrew over the person who sent in thier order first! I have sent in a offer in attempt to get a seller to sell me the cel that someone had dibs on first. So yeah, I have been guilty of that. I later determined that was not the most ethical thing to do because it was a sales page, not a open gallery that you offer on(plus i had my chance once... ;_; ). If they wanted to do offers then they should have explained that to begin with. I know this is thier sales page and they do do waht they want, but you need to let people know about this kind of BS to begin with!
I was going to go along with this whole bidding war BS but I rather not deal with a seller who is running a sales page as unethical as this. I just wanted to let everyone know about my own personal experience and hope that the same thing does not happen to any other collectors out there who are ordering from them.
/venting
PS. All AnC cels are available from them now so if you want em, go and get them! Except for the bloody cel of Aya which was sold to someone else who will end up paying $175 for a cel that no one else is making offers against.
okay. now /rant.

Message from Groupie Cels
I'm sorry that this topic has been opened up for discussion on this forum, as I don't think this is the appropriate venue. I would simply like to correct a few errors that iwakuralain16 has included in their message.
It is true we received emails inquiring about the same cel. It is also true that we turned down A LOT of high offers that came in after the original requests were received. The situation referred to above was unique as the buyers behavior caused them to forfeit the cel.
This buyer has voiced a lot of views in the above post about selling ethics. While we sympathize with many of the feelings expressed, and turned down so many high offers, it is however the sellers right to chose who they sell to. As mentioned above, there were unique circumstances in that particular situation.
Lastly I would like to point out that not all AnC cels are for sale. If you see "ON HOLD" written on any cel it is reserved and no longer available unless a buyer like iwakuralain16 pulls out their order. I would like to take this opportunity to assure anyone who has heard from us that their cels are not in any danger of being sold to another buyer regardless of any offer received, unless they themselves should cancel the order as the above mentioned buyer did. The website was updated minutes ago and displays accurate information about cels and prices.
Thank you to everyone we have received inquiries from, we sincerley appreciate your interest in our cels. We have been so pleased to see so many of the cels we have loved so much going to good homes. As mentioned above the website has been updated very recently and still includes a lot of really nice cels for sale.
Sincerely.
Groupie Cels

You sent me an e-mail stating that the cels were mine and I paid. You refunded the entire payment saying there were two people involved and that the e-mail was an accident and that I had to contact the other person who is selling on the website. You then refunded my payment. You are liars and need to get your shit straight if you want to sell cels and not skrew people over. Tell the full story next time please.
*EDIT*
refund has been properly processed. thx
As most people know, there are two people selling cels on this website. To answer the most FAQ I have received, the cels that start with the letter K is the seller I had issues with pertaining to this sale. There was confusion as well due to there being two people responding to my e-mails versus just one as well. You do not have to worry about the person who owns the cels that start with J to start taking offers on a cel you have already put a order in for.

Having read through this thread, one statement stood out to me so I felt compelled to bring something to light that has been overlooked in the anime cel collecting community in general.
But first, the ever dreaded disclaimer.
I don't know either of the collectors involved in the transaction described here and have absolutely no knowledge of the particulars in this situation.
That having been said, the statement eluding to the fact an art seller has carte blanche with regards to who and how they sell has been something I've read off and on over the years of collecting. I've always found such statements fairly problematic basically because it's entirely untrue. There exists an entire sect of legal practice called Contract Law, and it comes in many shapes and sizes.
The most familiar type of contract is something we'd all recognize, an agreement signed by both parties such as an apartment lease, student loan, mortgage etc. But Contract Law does not end there. Believe it or not, even oral contracts can be upheld in court.
If an art collector sets up a for sale page and decides upon a price for that cel and doesn't specify any type of atypical agreement (an example might be: Asking $100 or "Best Offer"), when a potential buyer contacts the seller via email and agrees to that price, in the US, the seller is legally bound to agree to that transaction as long as no original specifications have been changed (Such as the buyer requiring a payment plan etc.)
I'm sure most sellers here understand this, but some may not know that once a seller sets a price on an item, the seller is contractually, and therefore legally obligated to sell that item to the first person who contacts them. I believe with email, it is the message with the earliest sent date, but it may be a time stamp issue. (I'm not entirely sure I'll have to check up on that.) In any case, the email law with regard to contracts is similar to the law regarding hand written mail in that it doesn't matter which letter arrives at the recipient's doorstep first, what matters is the date the letter was stamped.
There are similar laws in regards to offers that I think many sellers in this community are totally unaware of...This is a HUGE can of worms I won't touch on here (oiy!!), but I will say the idea of "I can sell to whom I want when I want" is simply not true in the US, especially with regards to written agreements (email) and set prices that are advertised in a public domain (internet).
Perhaps some others here with more in depth legal knowledge might elaborate, but again, I want to specify this is not suggesting anyone in this specific transaction did anything outside of the law or ethics, just that there ARE laws protecting both buyers and sellers in the transactions we as art collectors partake in every day. Really, the bottom line is neither the cel seller nor the cel buyer, can do whatever they please. At a point in the transaction, when both parties have agreed upon the conditions, the seller and buyer are legally obligated to one another to fulfill their end of the contract.

MeganD.,
You rock.
Anyone I have explained this situation too agreed that it should not have come to the point to where I had to make a post like this. Alot of people were even surprised that I would put up with the thought of them even taking offers at first because of how unethical it was. I do not know these people. How do I know if someone else was really offering? Saturday night when I told a whole group of people about what was going on, the first thing many of them said was SCAM! I really do not know if that was the case or not but because they did not follow through with the prices stated on the website, I withdrew my order completely. Not sure if that extra $125 they got out of the other buyer(if there was one) was worth other business they might have lost. From what I have seen though, the seller that has no etiquette in terms of how to go about a business transaction. What gets me is how they completely skrew over one person knowing that this may have a negative effects on the other person selling on that page. What you have explained above MeganD would really not phase such a person if they are willing to do that to "friends" to begin with. If this had been a gallery taking offers, none of this would have been an issue. I had the money to keep going along with their unethical practices. They did not attempt to resolve this situation and it is clear they have poor understanding of what the term "customer service" means. My order in full should have been honored and I have not been contacted in terms of trying to fix this situation. They could have easily told the other person that a mistake had been made, but that option was never considered and the seller was concerned only about making a quick buck. I have only been contacted to be blamed for their loss of business which I then in turned told them that they need to make sure the people they sell with are on the same page with them in terms of etiquette and integrity.
I did not make this post because I didn't get a cel. No. I made this post because of how things were handled. I wasn't going to go along with their games just because it was a cel I really wanted. No cel is important enough for me to have to deal with a seller like that.
I made this post so others would know what type of business they are running. And I think I got my point across. Thank you to everyone for the positive support I have received inside and outside of beta. It means alot to me.

Wonderful seller.
I would like to say that I purchased 3 items (28 sketches + 2 cels) from this seller. To say she's scamming is a lie. To even imply that is grotesque. To say they have no idea how to run a business is bull, I had fast shipping and excellent communication from her. Also, remember she's not running a business like AnimeLink or Asylum - she's selling her personal collection.
As far as my transaction went, I paid for them on Saturday, and received them on Monday. Fast shipping, great packaging, perfect communication (she even emailed me this morning to make sure the package got here safe and sound). I couldn't be happier with this seller, and how they handled their sales. Not to mention they were kind and helpful.
As far as her ethics and honesty goes, I know that I personally made an offer on something above it's stated price, a wishlist item of mine, and she told me I was offering too much, and lowered it. This in itself proves that there may HAVE been a communication error with iwakuralain16, that she wasn't being 'bought out' on cels. It was very ethic to tell me my offer was too high. She IS honest, and very upfront!
To those wanting to buy from this person, keep in mind that they are selling their cels for more than reasonable prices, lower than I've seen cels priced in a long time. You're still getting a good deal on the cels, not to mention she's fast in shipping (I can't stress that enough) and great in communication.
That's all.

I agree with how their items were priced. Thus why I had so many items on hold at one point in time. It really depends on which seller from that website that you are dealing with and I am sure that the sellers got in over their heads for deciding to take offers versus just selling the cel out right. Thus learning their lesson. ha. The seller that has cels that start with J was very nice and was just trying to help her friend out with her sales. She let me know a few times that this would have never had happened if it were her cel and would have sold it first come first servce. As it should have been. So yeah, I totally agree they can be nice people. It is just that communication between me, her, and the other seller all became mixed up which caused problems in the end. I am sure they have fixed this issue. It does not matter if they are an established business like Asylum anime or just some collector selling stuff. They should still treat people that buy from them like customers and as I am sure you are aware of Nelia, people will talk if something goes wrong with a transaction. It is nice though to see a good review though.
I am glad your transaction went smoothly . I did not out right say they were scammers but the way they acted? It could easily lead someone to believe that they were. I am sure they have learned their lesson and have changed the ways they are running that sales page. I love seeing a fair and balanced view of this thread so thank you for your input. I hope I get to see more happy customers post. Makes me glad to know that they are not skrewing people over anymore and selling like they should.
