Another gallery taking offers... [CLOSED]

Post by zerospace »

Well, gee, it seems like taking offers right now is the fashionable thing to do :P. So, here we go: we've found that we're just not as attached to a lot of our artwork as we once were, and we're still trying to clear our our gallery quite a bit more. So, we're opening up for offers. I'm going to keep this short & sweet: here's the rules -- READ THEM FIRST, they aren't very long.

***Our gallery will be open for offers starting today (end date: ??? TBD)***

1. Nothing is off-limits, but there are sections that will be a 95% or greater chance of us saying no to: Gundam Wing, Transformers, Macross, Yamato are the primaries here.

2. Actual offers only. Because I'm not going to give out prices, I promise to not be rude or mean to anyone who makes "low" offers -- if your offer is low, I'll reply with a good idea of what we'd like to get if we sell that piece. (Basically, this is to alleviate the work of pricing a lot of stuff for people who never actually buy anything, which happens more often than I'd like).

3. Be polite/courteous, please. We don't take kindly to demanding requests/whining/protesting/name-calling/etc. (Yes, I've heard it all by now, I think >_<, and I am not afraid to blacklist people). It sounds awful, but with as much as I sell ... stuff happens.

Those are our only real requests during this offers period -- if you can't abide by them, please don't contact us. Our gallery can be found at:

http://www.zero-space.net/gallery2/

Contact should be via PM or email via our site contact form. Or, you may email me directly at webmistress[at]zero-space.net (change the [at] to @, of course). If you email me direct, please make your subject line something obvious -- that email address is my spammed-to-hell-and-back address, and stuff gets lost in my inbox rather fast.

Feel free to ask questions about the artwork, too! Use the same contact methods to ask questions.

-----------------------------
IMPORTANT INFO (payments, shipping, etc):

- Payments are via PayPal ONLY.

- Shipping is via USPS Priority Mail. Insurance is optional.

- Payment plans are possible, but must be discussed and agreed to at the same time as the offer is made.

-----------------------------
This offers period will end when I decide I've had enough, or when it seems as though we've sold as much as we're going to sell, or whenever we feel like it should end, basically. This means it could be in two days or twenty, I don't know. If you want something, I wouldn't hesitate too long, though. ;)

OK, I apologize for some slowness in replies, but I think everyone who has sent an offer should have heard back from me at least once by now. I'll be looking at my messages again today & pulling artwork out as well (if we've accepted your offer), so I'll be getting back to those people by tonight. :)

Thanks everyone! :D

OH, and apparently I have actually been missing some emails to my posted email address (I did say that it gets spammed to hell & back & it does, apparently so much so that I actually totally missed a bunch of messages at some point) -- if you don't hear from me that way, please please PM me here if you can & let me know. I have 4-5 different email addresses, so there's always an alternate I can give you.

Alternately, I finally have gotten around to actually using Google Talk regularly, so those of you with access to this via computer or smartphone may also contact me that way. PM for details ;).

Sorry for the constant spamming, but I believe everyone should have heard back from me by now. If you've paid already, your package will be on its way tomorrow ;) -- I just finished packing and printing shipping labels for everything that has been paid for thus far.

Thanks for all the interest, folks! And ... we're still taking offers!

Also, if you're waiting for me to make some new eBay listings, you might be waiting for a little while. I have a pile of stuff that belongs to my brother-in-law that I need to sell before June, so all of my energy with eBay sales will probably be focused there. I may re-list some unsold items of my own, but I doubt I'll be making a lot of new listings anytime real soon.

OK peeps, I guess this is the end of the line -- our offers period WILL CLOSE this Sunday 4/29 at noon PDT (so that's 3pm EDT). I believe we've rejected more offers than accepted, but that always seems to be the way of things with offers. It bugs me to constantly be saying 'no' to people, so I think we're about done, here.

So, rather than keep on saying 'no' in every other PM, I'll just close things up. That means this is your last chance! ;) After this, I will return to plucking stuff for sale & listing on eBay and our sales site. It's easier on my brain anyways, I guess. :O

------------
On a side note: I'll be taking advantage of eBay's fixed price listing fee sale and re-listing a lot of artwork that I've previously listed on eBay and not sold -- all will be listed with Buy It Now/Best Offer format. You can find a link to my eBay listings in my signature -- keep an eye out for those listings later today if you're interested. I'm currently in the process of converting my auction-style listings in Turbo Lister to Fixed Price, so I'll be listing everything once that is finished.

Re: Another gallery taking offers... [Closing 4/29 @ noon PD

Post by zerospace »

Time to submit offers is just about up! You have about another 1 hour & 15 min from this posting ;). I will respond to all offers received before 12 noon PDT. Anything that arrives after that will be ignored.

I've also re-listed a bunch of artwork on eBay with the Buy It Now/Best Offer format (see link in my signature). Feel free to make offers, but I've gotten a lot of serious lowballs on eBay thus far (think half what I'm asking, which includes the cost of shipping). Honestly.. I've discounted most of those cels to less than HALF what they originally cost us already!

By how this offers period went, this will be the absolute last time we ever accept offers rather than list for sale outright.

Uhhh... ok, this is odd. I really don't want to bring this topic back up because the offers period is closed, but ... well... its CLOSED. Meaning we are not openly accepting offers anymore -- that's not to say that we won't always listen to an offer, but I've gotten a handful of PMs and emails that seem to not realize this since closing this up. Really? I even changed the subject line of this thread.

So what I'm trying to say is, folks, we aren't taking offers anymore. Really. Seriously. If you don't have an actual monetary offer to make, please don't ask -- I'm not going to give you a price on something I'm not actively attempting to sell, OK? ;) I'm not trying to be rude or mean, its just that I'm still getting messages of "hey if you want to sell this..." or "how much would you want for this?" and those kinds of messages will simply be ignored. If you want me to sell you something, you'd best convince me that I want to part with that piece, and the best way to do that is with a good monetary offer.

Ugh. Sorry to sound so mean, but I've gotten nearly as many of these after the offers period closed as I got offers during the open offers period! I'm kinda busy now with selling my brother-in-law's stuff on eBay and coding my update to the software that drives our cel gallery, so I just don't have the time to sift through a bunch of unsolicited, sometimes annoying, not-even-signed emails and PMs. Polite, unsolicited offers are alright, so long as they are polite, real offers, and you actually sign your messages (and no, signing your message iamgod3 or whatever your handle is doesn't count -- a real first name would be nice)!

So, one more time: This offers period is closed. Over. Done. If you want to make an offer now, you'd best be serious and realize we are no longer actively seeking offers. ;) OK? Good, glad that's out. Now, if you'll excuse me, it's time to put my programmers' cap back on.
