MAY 9 IS THE DAY!

Post by DevoVamp »

LOL!
I wanted to put this up because I could use some suggestions. I've been accepted by Nova (not GEOS, but I've come to the conclusion that Nova is a better company) to GO TO JAPAN FOR A YEAR TO TEACH ENGLISH. I leave on May 9, and while I'm hopeful I'll be Tokyo, I won't know for a couple of weeks yet. They're looking at sending me to Tokyo or Osaka.

So, I don't think I'll be able to update my gallery much after that because I won't have my scanner with me. So, I have to ask:

Where do I go to look for and buy cels in Japan? Can I go to studios and raid their basements, or what? I mean, since I'm going ANYWAY and getting a PAYCHECK, why not add to my collection while I can? Right? Right!!

Any advice or suggestions?

By the way: Pardon me while I do a happy dance........... :vict :vict :vict :vict :vict :dban :dban :dban :dban :elephant :elephant :elephant :elephant :elephant :elephant :elephant :elephant

Try hooking up with Rekka Alexiel. She's over there in Tokyo (I think) teaching English as well! She's found a few cels to add to her collection while she's been over there, but I don't know any particulars. She may be able to show you around. :)

Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Thanks, guys! I'm starting to get nervous now that it's only a few weeks away. :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop

I don't think I've met Rekka. Is she on the board as well?

Congrats! Teaching in Japan is something I'm considering doing as well. I've got two years left to decide, though.

Thanks again, guys!

I've already started packing (although the fight last night with my mother was great motivation for that! LOL!) and getting the internet is one of the things that I must have over there! I can not live without my computer!!

BTW: Space bags are wonderful things! You should see all the cloths I've manged to get into the smaller of my two big suitcases, and I've still got room for shoes and shampoo and stuff! LOL!! I need a few more to get everything in there. The suitcases are going to be heavy as anything, but I'd rather have 2 heavy cases than 5 lighter ones.

I think my mother is mad because she's finally getting it that I'm not bluffing and that I'm really going, and she's miffed!! Mind you, she's a little old 85 year old Italian and she's sort of used to getting her own way! LOL!

Ah, well, it's time I left and lived my own life, right? Right, I think so. :)

I'll tell you, I'm going to be nervous getting on that plane!! :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop :sweatdrop

But, I'm excited too! Think I'll have another happy dance............!
