I'm trying to stay on even ground and not drag Celga into this but they're supposed to have the cels in hand in Japan before they list them. They just use customers' scans since I assume they expect them to be honest. I did mention to Celga in my last email though that it would be wise to double-check all his cels in Japan and make sure they're all as described to save this from happening again. It's a pretty big loop-hole nonetheless and does leave them vulnerable to misdescribed items.
They've been contacting Phil on my behalf to try and get a resolution and he refused on the grounds that his picture wasn't misleading and it's come to a dead end. So I can't complain about Celga too much personally. ^_^;

Honestly, I use Celga all the time and I have no issues with them, personally. They've been nothing but kind to me, but I do understand that others have had big issues with them in the past. I just honestly am shocked that the condition of the cel wasn't verified before listing it - I mean ... that is a HUGE difference between their posted image and the actual cel. I could see the line fading without even clicking the larger image!
Then again, as I said, I've never used them to sell anything before.. so I don't know really how it works.
