One of the most important thing to do when starting this hobby is to carefully craft a wishlist of specific scenes/characters you want to collect, which you've already done (you're light-years ahead of most new collectors).
Then budget a certain amount of money every month toward acquiring new production artwork. This will keep your collection focused and within budget.
I remember when I first started...it was so tempting to buy *everything* that is even remotely intriguing.
