I'm glad you find this amusing.

I consider myself to be American, though I'm 1/2 Italian, 1/4 German, and 1/4 English. My dad's parents came over to the USA from Italy on the boat. hehe. :D

But, I'll join Baakay and Kymaera in the seriously 'white' category. :rollin

I chose American too, simply because there is no way on this blue Earth that I'd go to another country and tell someone that I'm one of them. :D

Ethnicity-wise, mainly I am

Mexican
German

with bits of

Syrian
Chinese
French
Spanish
and one more that I can never remember!

:? Is this where I start barking like a mutt?

Quite surprised to see a couple of peeps here that have Polish blood in them (Dude_Moose and Hot Ice) I assume Pomidor is like me- judging by his 'welcome back' thread.

I'm 0.5 English, 0.5 Polish, living in England.

Guess I fit into the 'Other' category in Harry's crazy poll :nuts ;)

European here... so "other".
I've never had to use "other" on any kind of survey before.

As for ethnicity... Caucasian as they come I guess... black ( with grey taking over rapidly) hair and blue eyes.

Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

It's the "Seriously and Unfortunately white" category *grin* The kind where you could bake for an hour at altitude on midsummer's day at peak sun time and look either like a lobster (Kymaera) or ... a slug. (me).

Slug White. and the seven dwarfs. No such thing as a nice tan.

Ick.

Didn't vote, guess I would have just put "other."

Nationality- definitely American. My family came over here for a few different reasons, all of which because they wanted a better life, and the U.S. was the one place that offered them opportunities and gave them the freedom they wanted.

Ethnicity- Greek, Irish, Scottish, Welsh and English.

On a personal note, I hate being called "white." Number one, white is not an ethnicity, and caucasian is way too emcompassing. If you get my Turkish and Italian friends and I together, we all get quite annoyed if you refer to us as the same race. Besides, I've never bought "white" make up... always more of a beige-ish twinge to it.

On another note, I was told that there are really only three basic races in the world- African, Asian and then the ever-encompassing Caucasian. Any knowledge on this?

:rollin :hitting: Yep -- an hour in the sun would have me looking like a nice shiny red lobster. :P Gross. Heh - but then the fun part begins: a couple days later I'll peel like a snake & suddenly.. tan! So, apparently the Italian in me eventually shines through, but I must suffer first. Besides.. working an office job--I never get to the tan part anymore.. I just burn & peel. :x

"'Merican"
Mom and Dad both from extreme western Kansas (baja Colorado :P )

Mostly German (had a college German instructor tell me I looked like my parents just stepped off the boat), then Scotch-Irish (Maiden name McCoy), Welsh, and a touch of English (that my mom never liked to admit to).

*woof*
